COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PUGACHEV’S COBRA: The brainchild of Victor Pugachev -- not for the faint of heart. Pilot suddenly raises the aircraft nose to near vertical before dropping back to attack mode. Get ready for an assault on your senses with PUGACHEV’S COBRA, an intense Russian Imperial Stout. This rich, black beauty with a thick caramel head is bursting with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, licorice and dark fruits, while flavors of chocolate-covered plum, sweet malt, bourbon, and roasted coffee explode on your pallet. Three different dark roasted malts and rich maple syrup are combined in a truly unique brewing process to create complexity and depth. Once fermented, it’s then aged for eight months in freshly emptied bourbon barrels. This powerful concoction is designed to be enjoyed now with friends or cellared to perfection and savored in the years to come.

Have had this one 2 times. At bottle release on tap and purchased 6 bottles (3 were stolen :( ). Very boozy. Smooth. Has a slight licorice nose. One of the deepest beers I have had.

Damn this stout is thick and strong. With no carbonation this tastes like a rich dark chocolate liquor. Amazing but a little too flat and boozy for me to purchase again.

On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours a viscous black color with a tan head. The aroma is potent nutty bourbon, vanilla and caramel. The mouthfeel is ridiculously thick with some burnt wood and sweet bourbon. Just a bit of alcohol burn in the finish. Lots of barrel flavors other than wood, if that makes sense...

Sample at STL bbbb, thank you! Pour is black with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor loaded with very sweet roasted malt with enough hops and coffee hints to balance it all out. Lots of vanilla in the finish. A pleasant surprise.

Bottle. Crap, opened this not knowing what I was getting into with nobody to split it with. Well, there goes my night. Pours black with no head and basically zero carbonation. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, licorice, and booze. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and bourbon but not overly so. Very nicely balanced without being over reliant on the bourbon. Wish I was splitting this with friends though...oh well! A sippin’ I will go.

Bottle at home with friends. Pour is pitch black with a creamy brown head that quickly dissipated. Dark chocolate, bourbon, light peat, smoke, oak, a touch of lacto, and bread in the aroma. Taste is raisins, figs, caramel, toffee, bread, light vanilla, oak, and dark chocolate, with a light spicy burn on the finish. Medium mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Damn decent stout and hard to believe that is 16%+ because it drinks rather smoothly. Well-done!

Bottle @ Stephen’s house thanks to Steve_0. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. Slightly. Boozy, rich caramel/chocolate, toffee, a bit nutty aroma. Bourbon, thick chocolate, thick toffee, rich boozy, vanilla, syrupy malty flavor. Pretty tasty but intense. This fucking beer got me too fucked up.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, huge thanks to Stephen for the pour! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of big almond, vanilla, toffee, nice caramel, coconut. Taste is a nice mix of caramel, toffee, coconut, hints of vanilla, chocolate, nice bourbon, hints of oak, roast, finishing fairly sweet, dark fruit, hints of earth and spice. Nice. Very tasty.

Tap at Pizza Port San Clemente, What a treat to have this on tap... or was it? Big bourbon nose, big malty taste, huge alcohol burn at 16% this is no joke, to the point the bartenders were doing shots of it.. probably packs more of a punch than a Washington Apple. really good stuff, but hard to drink a ot of it, 8oz was plenty.

Awesome brew. Poured motor oil black with a thin tan head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, some wood, chocolate, brownies, and molasses. No hint of the abv in the aroma or flavor. Very dense chocolate and dark fruit flavors with balanced flavors of bourbon and wood, bringing this awesome brew together.
