PUGACHEVíS COBRA: The brainchild of Victor Pugachev -- not for the faint of heart. Pilot suddenly raises the aircraft nose to near vertical before dropping back to attack mode.

Get ready for an assault on your senses with PUGACHEVíS COBRA, an intense Russian Imperial Stout. This rich, black beauty with a thick caramel head is bursting with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, licorice and dark fruits, while flavors of chocolate-covered plum, sweet malt, bourbon, and roasted coffee explode on your pallet. 750ml bottle enjoyed @ home, thanks to Tom Grogan. Pours black with little to no head. Aroma is bourbon, wood, vanilla, liquorice, dark dried fruits, roasted malt, raisins, molasses and chocolate. Taste is medium bitter and medium sweet. Full bodied, oily-ish texture, soft carbonation. Finish is bourbon, vanilla and liquorice. I really like the bourbon in this one!

Pours pitch black with a creamy tan head. N: perfumed oak and coffee, licorice and roasted malts. T: sweet licorice, roasted malts, bourbon vanilla - just sweet, rich and big. Lots of spices donít know which. Aftertaste is big in bourbon and big on sweet vanilled oak. Licorice again in sweet liquid form. The alc shines through but ads a different layer of complexity.
