3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark brown with no real head and no lace. Nose is of chocolate and raw alcohol, hot. Taste is sweet and loaded with chocolate, caramel and bourbon. Body is full, mouthfeel is sticky. Alcohol warms you a lot, really hot. Still drinkable, but why package that in 25oz bottles?! I was a bit afraid of this one and it turned out better than I thought it would. It isnít really exceptionnal, though.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (750 ml). 2011 vintage. From pandableh, thanks Dan! Pitch black with a small beige head and little to no lacing. Aroma is dominate by chocolate, but thereís also an important bourbon/boozy presence along with vanilla, sweetness, wood , roasted malt and light fruityness. Taste is moderately sweet with a medium/heavy alcohol warming (not as much as Black Tuesday), a lot of chocolate and some vanilla, wood and roasted malt notes. Full bodied. Medium carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. A tad too hot despite being 2+ years old. Interesting chocolate feature. Quite tasty, but too much alcohol.

Bottle #67 of 8856 shared with Deanso thanks to trade with Alen. Pours near black with a minimal tan head. Aroma of strong bourbon/vanilla, chocolate, maple syrup, overripe dark fruits, oak and booze. Flavour is heavy sweet and over moderate bitter. Fairly chewy and oily in the mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Excellent!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sampled @ AZ Strong Beer Fest. So happy to have Hangar 24 in the state! Midnight pour with a thick mocha head that coated the inside of the glass. Loads of bakerís chocolate, brownie batter, vanilla, brown sugar, bourbon, oak, and raisin. Extremely creamy and satisfying. The incredible ABV on this was masterfully hidden and it wasnít exceptionally sweet. Such a great beer!

Thanks to Nicks6217 and donít drink beer for the bottle.
Massive Mofo. Black with hints of ruby brown. Good carbonation for the size of the beer. Light brown head that falls to a ringed collar. Big ABV lacing.
Nose is a lot of maple, coffee, oak, bourbon, vanilla and earthy hops. Brilliant nose.
Taste reflects the nose. Lots of maple and coffee upfront. Backed well by earth, oak, and the barrel. Big feel, low carbonation and packs a serious punch halfway through the bottle.
Really an amazing beer. Worth seeking out

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a deep pitch black with low brown carbonation. Smell is of strong maple and vanilla. Flavor starts with a rush of maple & vanilla as it then flows into the chocolate and ends with a coffee finish. Overall this beer, to me, is a near perfect imperial stout and ranks among my top 2 of all time.
