COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PUGACHEV’S COBRA: The brainchild of Victor Pugachev -- not for the faint of heart. Pilot suddenly raises the aircraft nose to near vertical before dropping back to attack mode. Get ready for an assault on your senses with PUGACHEV’S COBRA, an intense Russian Imperial Stout. This rich, black beauty with a thick caramel head is bursting with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, licorice and dark fruits, while flavors of chocolate-covered plum, sweet malt, bourbon, and roasted coffee explode on your pallet. Three different dark roasted malts and rich maple syrup are combined in a truly unique brewing process to create complexity and depth. Once fermented, it’s then aged for eight months in freshly emptied bourbon barrels. This powerful concoction is designed to be enjoyed now with friends or cellared to perfection and savored in the years to come.

Bottle thanks to Tim, pours motor oil black, and thick as hell too. Medium dark brown head. Aroma screams barrel. Big bourbon, sticky molasses, oak, and chocolate. Flavor is much the same, there is substantial roast dryness here which is nice standing up to the sweet vanilla bourbon notes that round things out. Perfect example of a BA imp stout.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. Decent retention. The aromatic highlights are dark chocolate, Cuban espresso and vanilla. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is boozy and burnt, offering loads of dark chocolate, singed malt, bourbon and a hint of vanilla. Chocolaty, nutty, ethanol finish. It’s red hot, but I get more of a smooth, soothing sensation than a harsh alcohol burn. Well done. Another world class effort from the fine folks at Hangar 24!

Few people in this crazy mixed up world consistently come through with obscure, hard to get, gems like my boy Hopscotch (Eric S.). I’m proud to call him a friend and drinking comrade... Dark brown pour with a faint tan head. Caramel & chocolate aromas. Chocolate, bourbon, caramel, and toasted malt notes. A healthy body that would do Eric’s scantily clad avatar proud.......
