Rich and decadent. This strong porter is perfect for sipping at the end of the day or to accompany full-flavored foods. The intense, roasty flavor comes from two types of chocolate malt and raw cocoa nibs. Whole vanilla beans introduced post fermentation add complexity and enhance the dessert-like qualities of this full bodied beer. Indulge yourself! Additional Information: This beer began life as our Panamanian Porter with the flavors of chocolate, vanilla and banana. A truly unique beer, we felt that all those flavors needed some smoothing out so we changed yeast strains and eliminated the banana flavor (Which came from the yeast strain). The Panamanian Porter did have many fans however, and there may be plans in the future to bring it back for a special occasion. Stay tuned…

On tap as part of a flight at Five50 in LV. Pours walnut with mocha head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma is strong with heavy roasted chocolate malt. Similar taste, a touch of sweetness and a touch of bitterness. Body is slightly fuller than most porters with a nice creamy character. This is a really nice beer.

Dark mahogany pour with a tightly packed latte heard. Subtle cocoa, Nestle Quik aroma. Dark bitter chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel. I get that the ABV is slightly higher than traditional beers in this style but have a hard time finding the imperial or strong in this porter.

Clear dark reddish brown to black color, dark brown head. Sweet, malty, compost scent. Sweet, roasted, chocolate taste. Grainy aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a small tan head on it. Nose is very dry and roasty with just a hint at some sourness, and reminds me of a dry stout. Taste is similar with a sour and bitter tone to it. Feels smooth, but it’s a little off putting. I got no chocolate in here.

Overall, a decent porter. Pours a deep red brown with a tan head. Not much smell, a bit of cream and chocolate. Taste is light, sweet, with some creaminess and peanut butter. Some bitter chocolate in the finish. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this at a recent tasting. This is a forgettable porter. I remember so little about it I had to recheck whether I even drank it.

Bomber to pint glass. Medium brown with a tan head. Weak aroma, roasty with a metallic tinge. Flavor is really nice though. Milk chocolate and marshmallow notes meld with fresh zesty coffee and a light drying roastiness. Overall sweet but nice. No alcohol presence. Silky mouthfeel that turns a bit more syrupy with warmth but not in a bad way. Nice beer.
