Bottle; poured a nice radiant amber/burnt orange; with a somewhat milky looking off white head. Aroma was darn good; havenít smelled an IPA with this good of aroma in a while. Juicy fruit notes, mingled with pine, earth and grapefruit. Flavor was a few pegs down, but still quality. Earthy with some fruity notes; quite aggressive in the hopping and a touch of alcohol. Hint of a light sweetness. Great aroma, good beer.

Thanks to cavery for this one in trade. Cheers, Chris! Pours orange-amber with an oily white head. Nose is malt, and earthy, citrusy, and lemony hops. Interesting hop to pick for this project, but they have seem to have faded a little bit here. Flavor has noticeable malt followed by citrusy hops with hints of lemon, spice, and earth. Medium in body and slightly oxidized from what it could be. Light to medium in body with lingering earthy hops.

A:Ended up pouring a massive 4 finger off-white head, moderately tight bubbles. Good retention, decent lacing. Light copper, slightly hazy.
S: Grapefruit, citrus, a little astringency, pine, good bit of caramel
T: More caramel than Iíd like, light bite of grapefruit and pine. A little dank and herbal. A bit of astringency and noticeable alcohol esters. Finishes with a bit of residual sweetness and a little lingering bitterness.
M: Medium body, fairly smooth and a little resinous. Not a crisp finish, carbonation dies middle mouth.
O: Not a bad IPA, middle of the road without any unpleasant astringency/esters. A little too sweet for my taste with a less than stellar mouthfeel.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Starts off with a strong hop aroma and hazy amber body with slightly off-white head. Looks like they need to use a little Irish moss or something because even with a careful pour there were a lot of "floaters". This didnít affect the taste which was a strong green, piney, citrus bitterness well balanced by sweet caramel malt. Nice juicy bitter finish with a little wood and toast. Iíd like to try this on tap to get a clean pour to compare to the bottle. Really nice IPA from a new SoCal brewery!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ a local pizza place. Pours with a decently sized frothy off-white head on darkish caramel golden beer. Aroma is resinous pine, light citrus, and a semi-bready malt profile with some bitterness on the end. Taste is dominated by a medium hop bitterness followed pine, light breadiness, and a touch of malt. Not as pungent as my favorites in the style but well-balanced. Solid IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a translucent new copper penny color with a small white head that has fair retention. The aroma is rich with fresh oranges and some grapefruit. The taste is biter hops forward with grapefruit, oranges, pineapple and limes set in a caramel malt base. The palate is full and smooth with medium carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering biter grapefruit. Overall: Very nice...much better than I expected.

Bomber from Beverages4Less in Santee, CA. Pours hazy light amber with a foamy 3 finger off-white head. Aromas of roast caramel and resin. Med body. Flavor is harsh roast malt with some resin, and arguably a bit of citrus. Itís hard to decide: resin or citrus. Seems like both. Definitely bitter, and with time it seems a bit floral. This is an incredibly delicious beer. Just excellent.

Smells wonderfully of citrus and floral hops. This is a pretty darn good IPA. Lots of hops throughout the beer. A slight citrus finish. Could drink this all day.
