Smells wonderfully of citrus and floral hops. This is a pretty darn good IPA. Lots of hops throughout the beer. A slight citrus finish. Could drink this all day.

Thanks to JoeTheYounger for this extra! Aroma:This smells really delicious. Thereís grapefruit, sweet orange, apricots, peaches, and cotton candy sweetness. Appearance:Deep amber color with slowly rising bubbles. Thick white head with small bubbles, and excellent lacing. I think it may be a little dark for an IPA. Taste:There is a huge hop bitterness on the foretaste. After a few sips, and my taste buds adjust to the huge hop bite, I can begin to distinguish other flavors. I taste the fruity hops on the foretaste, with apricots, peaches, and oranges. The flavors get sweeter in the midtaste, and fade away gracefully in the aftertaste. There are some harsh hop flavors in the mid to aftertaste too, probably because this is a single-hop beer. Underlying everything is a sweet malty backbone. Palate:This beer has a medium-thick body, good carbonation, and some hop astringency. Overall:I really enjoyed this IPA, although I think it could be called a DIPA without too much work, as itís darker, thicker, and hoppier than your average IPA.

Great IPA! IPAís are so prevalent now itís like they are just regular beer now. This one is pretty awesome. Uber clear, beautifully bright, ruddy copper pour. Gigantic seafoam head with exquisite lacing. Fresh tangerines and caramel malt are dominant in the aroma. Nice nuances of grapefruit and lime zest also show up in the appropriately bitter flavor. Definitely hops forward, but skillfully balanced by plenty of malty goodness. Medium body, great carb, superb mouthfeel, and a wonderfully dry finish. I am reminded of a honey-glazed orange/grapefruit upside-down cake garnished with lime leaves. Fantastic IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2009 Growler from the brewery. Nice dark amber pour, nice white head as well with some good lacing. Nice hop aroma, a bit muted though. Flavor is good as well, but again the hops arenít a prevelant as they should be. Very good effort, but I do know the guys are still tweaking it as they brew. Re-rate, Ben and Evan tweaked the recipe a bit. This version is much hoppier than the last. Much better finish, better all around. So much more fragrant, lots of pineyness lots of depth and complexity. Beautiful dark orange color as well. Damn fine single hop IPA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy darker orange with an off white head that laced my plastic cup nicely. Aroma is big and hoppy with alot of pine and citrus and just a little bit spicy. Flavor is intensely hoppy but it also has a big malt backbone that balances it out. Sharp bitterness thatís characteristic of the Columbus hops they use. Medium to full bodied with decent carbonation. A very surprising and fantastic IPA.

Really nice, IBUís were well chosen and doesnt quite drink like a 77 IBU ipa, but is hidden in the maltiness and overall well crafted. Really nicely chosen grain bill,, its a hint of cacao, bready light malt, and clean easy to drink, but tasty and satisfies.

RBWG@RLRL-thanks to CaptainCougar-growler-pours a big off white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is citrus/pine hops, some light/medium malt. Taste is pine/resin hops bite, secondary light/medium malt. Drying. Good effervescence.
