COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Assertive and drinkable. Double IPA is California’s gift to beer lovers. Ours is brewed with four distinctly American hops: Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Simcoe, all beautifully balanced by five malts and generous additions of local orange blossom honey. An intense sensory experience — the fresh aroma of citrus, pine and grapefruit with the bold taste of hops and sweet honey. Additional Information: This beer was first brewed to celebrate American Craft Beer Week in 2010. The Double IPA style is distinctly American, and so are the flavors of the specific hops used. This beer was an instant hit (Southern Californians do love their hops!) and we plan on brewing it throughout the year whenever our production schedule allows it.

@Basunen: mycket mild doft av apelsin. Mycket snäll, men en fin fruktig smak och en trevlig humledoft. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Las Vegas stores. Shared with Brian Ge. Snifter pour with cloudy deep golden color. Medium fingered white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, bread dough, and wet grass. The taste was pine and pine resin, citrus, bread, biscuit, malts and leather. Medium light in body for a DIPA. Good carbonation. Slight bitter finish with pine. It was my fault but should have drank when it was more fresh. Overall good though.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Strong grapefruit dominates nose with slight pine and solid cracker malt in support. Hazy gold with a full white head that lingers. Flavor is dominated by citrus with a pine background. Wheat cracker malt leads to a medium mouthfeel. slight alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet malt, simcoe, fruit and booze. Excellent malt backbone with floral and citrusy hops and strong alcohol notes. Excellent balance. Smooth rich mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Really good.

Pours copper orange. Very strongly flavored citrus and pine with some floral. Nicely balanced but intense. Bitter but like I said: balanced. The malt/bread flavors are there but I’d say more background but not weak. This beer was delicious.

bomber into a glass in vegas, pours a dark swriled orange, hazy and yellowish with tan highlights, alot like a hefe.Head leaves tons of lacing and a solid 2cm foam on the glass. Aroma is piney, orange, citrus, pine, whole cone hops are profound, orange dominates though, zesty ripe spices, some small plumbs are there too, at times hard to beleive this is a double. Taste is ripe orange, sweet malts, hops, grass, brown sugar at times, effective turn around on the malt/hops balance leaves one looking for more, a nice beer here, especially for the west coast style.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at Ryan’s on Christmas morning. Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Fruity hop nose. Flavors of pine resin, citrus and a touch of salt. Smooth mouthfeel and finish. Nice balance. Tasty.
