COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Assertive and drinkable. Double IPA is California’s gift to beer lovers. Ours is brewed with four distinctly American hops: Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Simcoe, all beautifully balanced by five malts and generous additions of local orange blossom honey. An intense sensory experience — the fresh aroma of citrus, pine and grapefruit with the bold taste of hops and sweet honey. Additional Information: This beer was first brewed to celebrate American Craft Beer Week in 2010. The Double IPA style is distinctly American, and so are the flavors of the specific hops used. This beer was an instant hit (Southern Californians do love their hops!) and we plan on brewing it throughout the year whenever our production schedule allows it.

Cask @ local habit in hillcrest: pours an opaque deep pumpkin orange with a few swirls of white atop. Nose is deep citrus orange. Flavors are thick, syrupy orange molassis...nice, concentrated citrus hop flavors here, which seems to really be accentuated by the cask treatment, as that citrusy orange hop influence is everywhere without even a smidgen of alcohol noticed, seriously dangerous actually. Very nice iipa, especially on cask which is something I usually steer clear of, but it really works here. Nice, solid ipa from a brewery that hasn’t seemed to impress me that much in the past.

Bomber from Windy City. Very hopped skunky nose. Quite pungent indeed. Strongly hopped. This brew has that sort of skunk bud quality to it. Alcohol is well hidden.

growler courtesy Hopscotch at the Tally tasting. Thanks for this Eric! Pours hazy orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is very dank, lots of various hop notes. Flavor is so rich with both malt and hop notes. Grassy, dank cannabis, skunk. Mildly sweet pale malts and hay. Very fresh. A knock out!

[Tap @ Brewery] Lightly clouded amber appearance. Plenty of piney hop and citrus on the nose. Bitter and citrussy from start to finish, plenty of grapefruit at the end, mild underlying orange balances things out.

On tap at the brewery. It pours bright orange with a disappearing off white head. The aroma is honey and malt with some citrusy hop presence. the flavor is balanced with honey and slightly doughy malt, bitter pine and citrus in the finish. Well balanced IIPA.

22 oz bottle. Cloudy yellow/orange with a pure white head. Aroma citrus, pine resin, flowers and faint malt scent. Flavor is fairly bitter with some light malt sweetness just for balance. Medium body with average carbonation and a dryish mouth feel. This is a nice IIPA, good hop character and very drinkable.

Fresh bottle shared by Darrell Thanks Darrell. The beer is hazy and light, golden orange with a half inch of white head. The aroma offers floral hops, some dank malt, a touch of lemon zest. The flavor is a bit of a disappointment. Medicinal and astringent, with toothpaste in the finish. Minty hops. Eh...not so much. Next. Serving type: bottle

This is spot on as a DIPA. Nice citrus taste that balances out the big alcohol taste. I like their beers.

650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a slightly cloudy orange-copper color with a small white head that soon recedes to a film. The aroma is all citrus with lots of oranges and grapefruits. The taste is bitter hops forward with grapefruit, pine, earth, honey and some biscuit. I also pick up a touch of hot alcohol. The palate is a bit uneven starting thin and finishing thick and viscous, the carbonation is lively. Finishes long with lingering intense bitters. Overall: Very tasty concoction, this is an IPA lovers IPA and I approve. [:14]
