Assertive and drinkable. Double IPA is California’s gift to beer lovers. Ours is brewed with four distinctly American hops: Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Simcoe, all beautifully balanced by five malts and generous additions of local orange blossom honey. An intense sensory experience — the fresh aroma of citrus, pine and grapefruit with the bold taste of hops and sweet honey. Additional Information: This beer was first brewed to celebrate American Craft Beer Week in 2010. The Double IPA style is distinctly American, and so are the flavors of the specific hops used. This beer was an instant hit (Southern Californians do love their hops!) and we plan on brewing it throughout the year whenever our production schedule allows it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, orange color with a nice, frothy head. Tangy aroma with some grapefruit in the background. Nice, hoppy taste. Kind of chewy. But good tart in there. Not complex. Decent brew.

Flaske: Lysegul diset øl med et flot skumhoved. Masser af proteinklumper trækker dog ned på udseendet. Ellers moderne IPA med ed smule citrus, tropisk frugt og masser af friskhed uden så megen bitterhed. God øl.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a snifter. Hazy, pale straw color. Creamy, white head dissipates in a few minutes. The nose is citrus and resin, not real powerful like some double IPA’s (was hoping for more). Nice, strong bitter and lively carbonation. Medium body and a very long finish with swells of bitter making a repeated appearance. Well balanced and very easy to drink. You won’t be disappointed.

22 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Golden orange with 1.5 fingers of off-white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of citrus, tropical, caramel, floral and piney notes. Tastes of grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, mangoes, sweet fruit, piney and floral hops. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Juicy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Hides the ABV well. Nicely done DIPA.

22 FL. OZ ($8.99) This pours out and looks like a shock top or a blue moon, it tastes like an IPA. Double IPA hidden with oranges. its a really good beer but at $9 I’ve had better.

Rather cloudy light tan. Fairly hoppy aroma but it is a little bit dull. Lots of hop, again showing just a bit of fruit, and then some pale malts that are actually fairly thin, but none of this showcases either brightness or complexity.
