3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
qa double ipa for a fortnight and a day #10...Smell is muted fruitiness and a vaporous boozy quality that I’m not excited to pull from an over 8% brew. If this is dry hopped, I’m not getting it. Heavy solvent taste and bittering hops. Seems the Bittering hops are taking center stage. I realize balance is overrated, but this is an astringent mess. For the alcohol level, this beer does nothing to hide it.
Mouthfeel and drinkability pull an average. Feelin a bit confused by this beer.
Really don’t enjoy slamming a beer, because there are so many good beers, great brewers, and it’s a tough gig. But, this is a major letdown.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Bob! Pours a hazy deep orange with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grapefruit and resin with a hint of underlying sweet citrus. Flavor starts with bitter grapefruit and has a growing sweet citrus note as well as a touch of pine.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a creamy off-white head. Mixed fresh citrus came as the cap left, and the pour smells of light caramel and lots of citrusy zest. Med body or better. It starts with instant hop burn, shows a little caramel, does citrus then moves on to zest and mixed citrus fruit. Finishes dry and bitter. And citrus. Wow.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very hazy, copper/golden with a big 3 finger, pure white head. A ton of lacing and slight carbonation. Nose is all citrus. A lot of grapefruit with some tangerine, pineapple and slight floral notes with some resinous qualities. Mouth is almost identical. A lot of grapefruit, bitter hops and orange peel. Some resin. A really good beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. I really loved their DIPA, so I had high hopes for this one as well. Pours clear amber orange with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is very herbal, some grapefruit and floral notes. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, light bitter, somewhat spicy and herbal. Medium body. Not really doing it for me.
