COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first beer in our Local Fields Series, Vinaceous was created to combine the best characteristics of wine and beer. Brewed in the style of an English Old Ale, this beer deviates from tradition with an ample addition of freshly crushed Mourvedre grapes from Temecula. Vinaceous pours a deep burgundy color and boasts flavors of rich malt, brown sugar, dark berries and a touch of oak in the finish. Additional Information: As with each beer in our Local Fields Series, we looked to local growers for inspiration. For Vinaceous, we obtained some Mourvedre grapes from our friends at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. Wilson Creek has been producing outstanding wines in Southern California since 1996. We anticipate that this joint venture will further demonstrate the exceptional qualities of artisan wine and craft beer and how they can work harmoniously together.

Pours a dark reddish brown color with an off white head. Oak, grape, musk, caramel, toast and malt aroma. Oak, musk, grape, caramel, toffee, toast, malt and slight oxidation. Medium body and a slight tart mouthfeel. Oak, grape and malt finish.

22oz bomber pours with a dark amber body that supports a tall tan head. The aroma offers up red grapes, cherries, earthy molasses and then some mild brown sugar and malt notes. The taste starts with brown sugar dusted cherries and sweet red grapes. It gets earthy here and there as it approaches the finish. Nice.

22oz bomber. Yeah itís grapey, alright? Brown color, translucent, no lacing, small head. You could almost confuse the aroma for wine, almost. Itís got a delicious complex taste, there was a lot of thought put into this beer, I actually agree with the description, thereís a lot of malt, berries, oak, & grapes. Really well-done beer, in a unique and fun package.

Bottle... Pours clear and dark with burnt-orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. Tons of vanilla and toffee in the aroma. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Sweet malts and toffee flanked by a mineral componet in both the flavor and finish. Bottle courtesy of 50belair!

Crimson pour with a creamy eggshell head. Plum, raisin, prune, rape, caramel, brown sugar, oak and vanilla. Quite sweet but the alcohol was invisible. Enjoyed it.

This beer would be superb with just a bit of refinement. Here, the fruits are too fruity. The sweetness is to sweet. Etc. ramp it down a couple of notches and it would be sublime.

Amber pour with a cream colored head. This beer was a bit if a letdown. I really didnít get much grape notes and it was very much like an amber more so than an old ale. Not rich enough, lacked body, hops were weird. Meh.

A strong red wine character throughout this beer which worked well when paired with the roasted elk dinner we had but floundered on its own afterward. Just okay.

Draft at Imbibe Wine. Nose is sweet toffee, tobacco, oak, and a hint of vanilla. Murky brown with a medium, lightly lacing, beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, a hint of bitter, white pepperiness, and a musty oak bit.
