COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a one-of-a kind beer brewed for the “cool” months of the Southern California winter. We blend together locally harvested spruce tips from Angelus Oaks, maple syrup from Wisconsin and cinnamon from Saigon in just the perfect amounts to complement each other. The base beer has a nice rich flavor of malt and caramel which combines with the spices for a very well balanced and delicious beer. Additional Information: This beer was first produced in December of 2009 and the response was so good that we’ve decided to brew it each winter!

On tap at the brewery 1/11/10. Hazy reddish orange with a small one finger yellowish head, fair retention. Nose is of cinnamon and spicy spruce as well as toasted and caramel malts, lightly sweet. Definitely reminds me of Christmas. Flavor is much the same with something that reminded me of spiced apple cider. Bitterness peaked at a 3, and the alcohol was masked pretty well--only slightly spicy in the finish. There was no overbearing spice or sweetness, which, is usually the downfall to a winter warmer. Well-balanced. Light to moderate carbonation, medium body. Very tasty winter warmer.

On tap at hanger 24. Pours brown with barely any head. Aroma is cinnamon and pine. Flavor is more cinnamon, some dark over ripe fruits, and some earthy pine. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
