COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ORANGE WHEAT Crisp, Tart, and Refreshing. Whole locally grown oranges added throughout the brewing process perfectly compliment this unfiltered wheat and barley based beer. Our oranges are purchased through the Old Grove Orange company (affiliate of the non-profit Inland Orange Conservancy) whose main objectives are to save the local orange trees from disappearing, spread the word about the local citrus growing heritage, and to feed the hungry with the unutilized oranges. Please visit them at www.inlandorange.org. All we need to do to save the orange trees is to eat locally grown oranges!

Pours a hazy yellow. Nose is orange juice, bitter orange peel, sweet citrus. Flavor is a super refreshing orange, wheat, sweet sugary citrus, mild yeast and bread. Another excellent hangar beer.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2011 My score for this beer dropped from 4.5 to 3.4 after my trip to the hanger 2 years later... very waterd down... Not enjoyable anymore. This is an excellent beer. Very fruity... without the fruit. Smooth great for a summer day. Best beer from hanger 24, if I could buy it on my side of the country i’d get it regular. Nothing on the bad of this beer.

Bottle from Hophead22, thanks man! Poured a cloudy, pale yellow color with a half inch white head that receded to a layer rather quickly. Aroma of crisp wheat, a touch of soft dough, a light spiciness, and some citrus (orange) rind. Smooth initial entry leads into a crisp, dry wheatiness paired with a tangy citrus flavor that transitions into a moderately sweet orange flesh that lingers into a lightly hoppy, dry finish. Moderate carbonation contributes to the crisp, dry mouth feel of the beer. Overall, a very well done fruit beer that doesn’t seem artificial in any way. I would drink this regularly if I could, and I bet it’s really nice on tap. Thanks again Tim!

Bottle thanks to DuffManSW. Hazy straw colored pour with a very short lived, white head. The aroma is lots of wheat with some sweet bubblegum esters and a touch of zesty citrus. The flavor is very crisp and clean with a nice wheat body, some more sweet esters (but not as overt as the aroma) finishing with some tangy citrus and a little spicy hops. The body is a smooth medium with soft carbonation and a crisp yet sticky finish.

12 oz bottle courtesy of an extra from duffmansw. Thanks a bunch! Pours a hazy yellowish straw, decent clouding, small bright white head that remains a decent film, a bit of lacing. Aromas are a good dose of orange fruit, pulp and rind mix with a touch of flaked wheat malt sweetness, cereal, with mellow underlying fruitiness. Initial is lighter bodied and easily quaffable, putting light cereal malts and a touch of orange fruity feel to the beginning, further into the body more orange fruit and rind come in, not sweet, but mellow and enjoyable with some flaked wheat sweetness, minimal hoppy bitterness, and cereal grainy qualities. A touch of bread, light sweetness that remains on the palate a bit, but finish fairly clean. A decent wheat beer that is nice considering the difference it provides from usual darker berry wheats. Quite refreshing. Cheers.

12oz bottle that was a bonus from Hophead22. Pours a moderately hazy yellow with a small but tight white head. Nose is on the lighter side, but has notes of sweetness, wheat, orange and some slight spice notes. Body is light and creamy with pretty tight carbonation. Great blend of wheat, orange and some faint tart notes. Finishes up dry and refreshing...really drinkable. I would buy more if this if it was local to me. Thanks for sending me this one Tim!

on tap at Bulldog pub,Upland,California. It poured a nice orange tint, little to no head. Orange was there but didn’t overpower, it was abit lacking in wheat flavor, but still very good, I could drink alot of these on a hot day. I look forward to trying their other beers, as they are local to me.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with hophead22 (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of cereal, wheaties, lighter citrus, and ’sweaty’. Tastes of wheatiness, citrus (more than the aromas and defintely oranges), and sugary sweet. This was surprisingly enjoyable!
