ORANGE WHEAT Crisp, Tart, and Refreshing. Whole locally grown oranges added throughout the brewing process perfectly compliment this unfiltered wheat and barley based beer. Our oranges are purchased through the Old Grove Orange company (affiliate of the non-profit Inland Orange Conservancy) whose main objectives are to save the local orange trees from disappearing, spread the word about the local citrus growing heritage, and to feed the hungry with the unutilized oranges. Please visit them at www.inlandorange.org. All we need to do to save the orange trees is to eat locally grown oranges!

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Appeared as a gloomy glowing yellow with a fizzy short lived head. Aroma is fruity with a tangerine peel smell while a background of grains and wheat hang out in the background. The flavor is tangy with a grassy flavor of wheat and hops. Nothing out of the ordinary and actually a beer I question why a brewery would place it into distribution?

Raw orange flavor in a mild wheat beer. Cloudy, with a mild wheat flavor that is missing the zany funk of strongrr wheat beers. Very approachable.

Bottle to glass. Pours a very cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, with strong wheat notes mixed with citrusy orange. Flavor is similar, like a tastier blue moon with heavier orange notes. Body is light to medium with an average carbonation. Sweetness, and a mild sour lingers into finish. Tasty wheat beer.

12 oz bottle pours a very hazy, opaque yellow with a fluffy white head. Initial huge phenolic aroma, 4-vg city, cloves, and some citrus zest. Flavor is more phenols and clove, but the orange comes through much more, similar to orange Gatorade powder, and finishes sweet and pleasant. A little too phenolic for me, but still pretty nice.

Wittales (699) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Appearance was cloudy yellowish gold with diminishing rocky white 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are slight wheat, grain, yeasty cake with mello oranges. Taste was wheat, mild yeasty with hints of orange and lemon.

12-oz. bottle. Faint nose of yeasty orange. Pours a hazy light golden with a fizzy head due to a ton of effervescence. Not much flavor; just some weak citrus notes and a hint of cloves. Watery body but well-carbed. Meh.

Shaker pint draft at 83 Degrees in Carlsbad, California. The pour is a hazed orange yellow golden pour with not too much of a white head. The aroma is faint wheat grain along with some soft citrus. The taste is the grain wheat along with some earth, then the hay, with faint orange citrus in the back. The palate is light bodied with an unfiltered mouth-feel. Decent.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass From: VONS in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $13.97 (with VONS card) for a variety 12-pack Purchased: June 1, 2013 Consumed: June 1, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a yellow orange straw color with two fingers of bubbly white head. Minimal lacing on the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top on the way down. Smelled orange, orange rind, lemon wheat, grass, honey, cereal and faint hay. Reminded me of a lemon shandy. Tasted pretty much like I expected it. Orange, orange rind, lemon, honey, wheat, grass and cereal. Not as much like a shandy as the smell. Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Pretty much what I expected overall. Good for the summer, but probably wouldn’t have it any other time.

12oz bottle Cloudy straw-colored beer with decent lacing and a persistent small head -- looks like a belgian witbier. Citrus-y wheat-y aroma - as advertised. The taste is good, the orange comes through naturally, not artificial. Some floral-sweeet notes. Medium body, easy drinker, good for summer!
