ORANGE WHEAT Crisp, Tart, and Refreshing. Whole locally grown oranges added throughout the brewing process perfectly compliment this unfiltered wheat and barley based beer. Our oranges are purchased through the Old Grove Orange company (affiliate of the non-profit Inland Orange Conservancy) whose main objectives are to save the local orange trees from disappearing, spread the word about the local citrus growing heritage, and to feed the hungry with the unutilized oranges. Please visit them at www.inlandorange.org. All we need to do to save the orange trees is to eat locally grown oranges!

12-oz. bottle. Faint nose of yeasty orange. Pours a hazy light golden with a fizzy head due to a ton of effervescence. Not much flavor; just some weak citrus notes and a hint of cloves. Watery body but well-carbed. Meh.

Shaker pint draft at 83 Degrees in Carlsbad, California. The pour is a hazed orange yellow golden pour with not too much of a white head. The aroma is faint wheat grain along with some soft citrus. The taste is the grain wheat along with some earth, then the hay, with faint orange citrus in the back. The palate is light bodied with an unfiltered mouth-feel. Decent.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass From: VONS in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $13.97 (with VONS card) for a variety 12-pack Purchased: June 1, 2013 Consumed: June 1, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a yellow orange straw color with two fingers of bubbly white head. Minimal lacing on the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top on the way down. Smelled orange, orange rind, lemon wheat, grass, honey, cereal and faint hay. Reminded me of a lemon shandy. Tasted pretty much like I expected it. Orange, orange rind, lemon, honey, wheat, grass and cereal. Not as much like a shandy as the smell. Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Pretty much what I expected overall. Good for the summer, but probably wouldn’t have it any other time.

12oz bottle Cloudy straw-colored beer with decent lacing and a persistent small head -- looks like a belgian witbier. Citrus-y wheat-y aroma - as advertised. The taste is good, the orange comes through naturally, not artificial. Some floral-sweeet notes. Medium body, easy drinker, good for summer!

Bottle:   Golden straw, fairly clear, thin to moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Blood orange sort of nose.   Has a bit of lemon to it as well.   Pale wheatiness on the tongue, decent orange/lemon like flavor.   Seems slightly artificial, but not too bad.   Its like a candied orange juice sort of flavor.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, a bit wheaty but not too heavy on the tongue, or sticky.   Would certainly be refreshing on a hot summer day.   I wonder how this would be fresh and on tap, probably super tasty.

Hazed yellow with white head and lace. Wheaty, sour malt aroma. Flavor mirrors the aroma. A tad thin and watery.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pale yellow with a fizzy head. Almost no aroma. Citrusy taste as the name implies. A good light summer type beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Brody’s in Jamul. Pours yellowish orange, and served with an orange slice sitting in the white head. Nose and flavor are all citrus and wheat. Interesting but not really my style.

Tap @ Tiger! Tiger!... Poured hazy, pale golden/yellow with a nice forming, fizzy white head. Good wheated flavor here. Clean and refreshing. Definitely on the Amercanized style with low yeast presence and esters and noticeable citrus fruits and orange skins. Some malt sweetness.
