COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our fall seasonal is an ode to the brewing traditions of Germany. This amber lager is brewed in true Reinheitsgebot fashion using the finest imported German Malt, German Hops and German Yeast. Incredibly clean and balanced, this lager has a wonderful malty backbone and a hint of earthy hops. Traditionally released in early fall, this beer will make you want to stand up and sing "Ein Prosit!" Additional Information: The Oktoberfest in Munich started in 1810 as a celebration of the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. The festival was such a hit that it turned into an annual event celebrated for 16 days from late September to early October. Oktoberfest beer comes from the Marzen style. These beers were bigger, richer beers brewed in March and stored in caves during the hot months of summer. In the fall, they were enjoyed at the Oktoberfest celebration.

Pours amber in color with a finger of white head. Nose is rather malty with a nice toasted malt note and plenty of bread. A touch of toffee sweetness, floral and spicy hops, and a light yeastiness. The flavor is really heavy on the bread. Lots of toffee and toast with a moderate sweetness. Some floral and earthy hops, a light spiciness, and some yeast. The flavor is a bit grainy on the finish.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is malty with a little noble/earthy hop. Flavor is pretty much the same. There’s enough hop to give a little tang to the maltiness.

Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, wispy, stubborn, white head. The aroma furnishes notes of orange blossom honey, marmalade and biscuit accompanied by a lightly earthy factor. Full-bodied with restrained carbonation. The flavor is a swirl of marmalade, toffee, honey and a mild notation of earthy bitterness. The sweet, malty finish is a touch medicinal. A pretty nice rendition of the style. Aroma is malt driven, light bread and honey. The color and palate are light, but the flavor comes through a little more with a touch of extra richness.

12oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that has a copper hued core and supports a modest tan head of foam. The aroma offers up caramel malts, biscuit like malts and thin soft sweet smelling pear and apple fruity esters. The taste delivers a blend of caramel malts, biscuit malts, a bit of roasted malts and then mild vague bitter hoppiness. To midway a thin layer of fruity esters surfaces with sweet notes like pears, red apples and figs come to the surface. This various malts and mild fruity esters hang on deep into the after taste. Pretty nice.
