3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ration (1670) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 30, 2013
300313. Bottle at home. Pours almost black with a nice head. Aroma ripe fruit(?), coffee, vanilla. Maybe a bad bottle because this tastes like a wild ale. Yet it works very well. Not Bad.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jerohen (1875) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2013
Bottled from biernavigatie.nl. Black appearance, small brown head. Nose of vanilla, wood, whisky, malts. Malty flavor, smoky, vanilla, in finish more wood. Short dry finish. Unusual, the complexity doesn’t really match with the low ABV, but not bad.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Plaas (74) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - FEB 1, 2013
Great stout, lots of coffee and oak. Cherry. The whisky is not easy to recognize, but that shouldn’t be a problem. Nice oak-aged beer with some peat in the aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to Dutchdrebus. Very dark brown color, small beige head. Aroma has something really weird in it. Don’t know what to think really. Weird. Taste malts, some oak, a light sourness. Medium body, thin texture, ok carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Countbeer (2921) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle:
Amber brown pour which creates a deep dark ruby colored beer with an ashy beige light tan ish medium sized head that slowly lowers down and leaves a thick and thin lacing.
Smell lots of typical whiskey notes: oak, vanilla, some spices, there are hints of toast, barley malts, sour, yeast and manure.
Taste is a bit thin with dominating sour and whiskey notes: some malts, spices, grapes, bit dry, malty bitters, yeast and some grape(fruit) bitters.
Aftertaste is bitter, dry, malty, there is a light grape and malty dryness,
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel with a light spicy edge, good medium to lightly fuller body and a light creamy texture.
Seems like this one has an infection too, or that sour touch was created on purpose which I don’t think is a bad thing but doubt it is on it’s place here. But next to that, decent beer which I would love to drink at any gig instead of that low quality pilsner.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bierkoning (9035) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - DEC 22, 2012
Found it in a drinks shop in Enschede, this whisky barrel aged light stout, and didn’t find it in the database, to my surprise. Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Pear drups and hints of licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty favor, with hints of peat, pear drups and licorice. Thinnish. Just a hint of oak in the aftertaste. lacks the depth of most oak aged stouts.
