COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle, thanks to ClubGonzo. It pours an almost clear, golden body topped by a finger-thick beige head. The aroma is citrusy and piney, with tropical fruits and malty hints. The flavor too is on the hoppy side, with citrus peel, tropical fruits and pine cones, bitterness chiming in and lasting for a while. Some alcohol warmth, full body. Certainly a pleasant beer. 120203

Sample, VANØ Bergen tasting @ Hanne på Høyden. Pours a lightly hazy orange, with a small, airy head. Aroma is rather indistinct sweet tropical fruits and flowers. Creamy body, with a quite lively carbonation. Flavour is quite nice, with notes of orange peel and caramel, that ends of with a nice flowery finish.

Hazy brown colour with a white head. Grape and very fruity aroma. Rich fruity flavour with a lot of grape. Solid malty background. I should have choosen cheese to this one. Not sausages. Tasty and good beer.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Hanne. Hazy orange body with a small off-white head. Nice citric aroma with grapefruit and pine with more. Flavor is sweet malty, fruity and a relatively moderate but balanced bitterness. Not really sure I will recognize this as a DIPA, but it’s a really fine IPA anyway. Nice hoppy aroma and flavor.

0.33l bottle @ Hanne På Høyden, Bergen. This one pours a light hazy dark deep copperish body packed with microscopic floaters and a small litht bubbly light beige head. Quite nice aroma; lots of citrusy and light peachy-fruity hops covered in sweet malts and a kinda strange menthol/eucalyptus/peppermint hints(and no, I haven’t just brushed my teeth or had a chewing gum) I also find hints of spruce, ripe red-currants and some grassy flowers. Nice, and not to extreme. The carbonation level is average and it has a nice mild oily mouthfeel. Average bitter in flavor, hoppy and really dry. No sweetness here what so ever. Reminds a bit of sparkling water actually. Quite grassy with some light mouthdrying astringent hints towards the finish and that continues out in the aftertaste as well. Nice DIPA from Hanne. 19.01.2012

Sample from bottle at VANØ Bergen’s Christmas beer tasting 2011 @ Hanne På Høyden. Deep honey-hued slightly hazy body with a small white head. Nose is fresh hops, grass, herbs, hints of honey and red berries. Taste is grass, spruce and hints of herbs. An OK DIPA in the lighter end of the ABV spectrum, though quite conventional.
