2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ALLOVATE (2098) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - JUL 31, 2012
Bottle after bottle of this was downed along side some fantastic local dishes at our hotel restaurant in the quiet back streets of Xi’an. Produced up a pale yellow and bright as bright. Intermittent carbonation sees the head dissipate rapidly. Light hop, light corn, light boiled vegie DMS amongst some grainy, pilsner malt on the nose. Ultra feather-weight in body with harsh carbonation that needed to be swirled out of it. Feint, distant grassy hop notes and sandy pale grains sum it up. So clean, but lacking in any character. Crisp, CO2 and gentle hop finish. Points for being refreshing, but then so is soda water. Still a decent light lager.(60cL, BB 08/11/12, Canaan Int’l Hotel, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China)

Considering the extreme heat Ive been facing in Xiŕn, this beer has been a welcome refreshment. Still, a generic lager.

Rated this right along my great friend, the venerable jgb9348 and washed down some great dog with it. Boring lager crap. "Pale golden in colour, not much flavour - pretty bland of course, but it sure did wash down a 12cent sandwich and a 12 cent dessert from the streets. Good thing this 628 mL bottle only cost 60cent! (However, if you want to buy this at the local bar, it is $16 USD for a 6-pack) Sampled on the streets of Xi’an"

Hans 9° (that’s the entire description on the label) 618 ml Bottle–pours a foamy white head. Color is clear yellow with effervescence. Aroma is a nice grain, looking forward to another beer that is outside of the ‘standard’. Taste grain, good carbonation. Plain, and ‘standard’. I thought their other beers were better, but this was OK for myself and the group I was with.

Pale golden in colour, not much flavour - pretty bland of course, but it sure did wash down a 12cent sandwich and a 12 cent dessert from the streets. Good thing this 628 mL bottle only cost 60cents! Sampled on the streets of Xi’an, then brought into the Hyatt Regency. 15-March-2005.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - MAY 1, 2005
Had this strait from a tap in a tastey dumpling shop in Xi’an. Horrible stuff, I really could not taste anything. Nothing was beer like about it.
1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - SEP 28, 2004
Golden with soft carbonation and light head. Malty aroma (the "dearly departed" wonderbread) with slight hay notes. Very light flavour but reasonally heavy body for a 9P beer. Quite sweet - almost candyish.
