HansJM (358), Norway Dec 14, 2001 It’s not very dark, but very good indeed. Maybe the best norwegian of this once so popular style. It’s malty and well rounded, and has good hops. Swarzbeer (43), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 4, 2006 bottled. very good aroma, and flavour, harmonic, good barley, round taste. Good bayer:-) Ole_R (1289), Oslo, Norway Nov 22, 2006 Bottle. Clear light-brown/amber color. Tiny but lasting beige head. Very light aromas of malt and caramel. Nice and mellow malt flavors well balanced with a decent hopbitterness. Dry and crisp mouthfeel. A bit light for the style, but still a very enjoyable bayer. Sigmund (1961), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 12, 2002 Updated: Dec 10, 2004Rerate 10.12.04, bottle: Reddish amber colour, relatively pale for a dunkel, good head. Malty aroma with caramel and some aromatic hops. Light bodied but well balanced, fairly malty but not really sweetish, nutty flavour with a reasonable amount of hops which make it refreshing. Nice. Original rating: It’s been a while since I had this one, but I remember it as a decent ’bayer’ (Munich Dunkel), with a malty and slightly nutty flavour. I’ll have it again as soon as I can find it. shoestring (168), larkhall, Scotland Aug 23, 2006 NICE DEEP COPPER COLOUR. SMALL TIGHT HEAD. MALTY / BISCUIT MOUTH. ENJOYABLE. PARENTS BROUGHT SELECTION BACK FROM NORWAY RECENTLY. CAN’T WAIT TO TRY REST ALSO.
