3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 frankenkitty (1953) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2007
Bottle Code 7 26 L
Pours mid-golden with faint carbonation under a short, white head. Equal amounts of complimentary pale malts and noble hops... each showing strong and mouthwatering. Malts dominate the flavor but continental hops provide a slight bitter turn in the finish. Man, I could drink this all day. A good <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-14352.htm&g of mine reviewed this same beer in July of 2005, purchased from the same location... and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from the same stock. That being said, the beer held up really well.

Can. Yellow colour with a medium bubbly short lasting white head. Aroma of grains and some yeast. Flavour is rather thin, grainy, some corn, yeasty and bit sweetish.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 nolankowal (916) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 13, 2007
Bottle shared by sliffy...thanks. transparent orange-yellow pour with no head. THe aroma was nothing more than corn and yeast...mm-mmm. Almost none existent flavor....perhaps some very, very light malt. Light body with a clean finish...overall...not a fansa.
2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 sliffy (2035) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 4, 2007
Bottle: Pale gold with a white head. Aroma was a wretched mix of corn and skanky yeasty notes. Flavor, this tasted like nothing. Which was a pleasant surprise after smelling this creation. Hurray for watery beer.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BigBeer45 (934) - Michigan, USA - DEC 2, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2006 One pint bottle, same label as described by ’MrBunn’ below, poured faint gold, some bubbles that hung around, little sweet malt, little bit of bread, slight harsh taste or bite from water? or traveling? lots of carbonation, light malt and bread taste, minimal hops, bubbly on the tongue, this is a light tasting beer.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Tmoney99 (6892) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 25, 2006
Bottle from Sarasota, FL. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate grassy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light bitter flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. My expectations where not met.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MrBunn (2006) - Western, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2006
Pint bottle... says Imported Dortmunder and Pure Quality... so marked a little different than the can shown. Remarkably light and clear... looks watery right off the bat. Head is foamy and dies down fairly quickly, leaving something resembling a lacing, but more like a residue on the side of the glass. Aromas are weak-of grass, light malt and apple juice. Flavor is rather weak, too. Grassy notes are pleasant and give way to an oat-like malt presence. Fairly unremarkable other than the nice blend of grass and oat.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 OleR (3510) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 8, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2007 Can. Golden colored, tiny short-lived head. Weak sweetish aroma with a hint of floral hops. Mild malt flavor, minimal hopbitterness. Light-bodied and bland. A Dortmunder from Dortmund should be better than this one.
