1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 rlgk (5238) - Skövde, SWEDEN - NOV 8, 2006
Pale golden, no head and with some particles in it that makes you feel bad. No aroma, no flavor, honesty, this must be as close as you get to water without actuaslly drinking water.

From bottle. Light sweet aroma, mild cooked corn and sugar beets. Light caramel maltiness and a touch of fruity hoppiness. Dull golden yellow clear with wispy white head. Light watery body with mild carbonation. Starts with pretty good sweet presence. Caramel and sucrose-like veggie matter. Mild bittering at best, with paper-like staleness towards the finish. After is dull with a mild chalky bitterness on the tongue. I’ve had better.

Can: Oh, I’ve had a lot of these when I was younger:-) Pale yellow with little white head. Malty sweet aroma with a little portion of hops. Grass and hay feel. Short finish. Drinkable but very ordinary!
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Tranquillity (1314) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 4, 2006
This looks like Pommac or beer mixed with water. The aroma seems rich and flowery at first, but some rubberness is obvious. It tastes very sweet, like a white slice of toast. Some alcoholic bitterness in the finish. There’s chewing gum, flowers and citric acid here. Interesting couple of first sips, but then nothing special.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jasonp (1556) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUL 2, 2006
Served at RFD out of the bottle as "Hansa Imported Dortmunder". Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma of grass and hay. Flavor has notes of grain, hay, a twinge of lemon and some light noble hop character. Light body with lively carbonation. Drinkable, but nothing that great.
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 dp (532) - uniontown, Ohio, USA - JUN 2, 2006
Light, bubbly, easy to drink, in a pint bottle, much lighter than I expected from a dortmunder, seems like a good summer beer.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 EithCubes (3052) - GERMANY - JUN 1, 2006
Bottle. Clear, full golden with a rocky white head. Grassy, herby, malty aroma, though a little corny too and not terribly appealing. Smooth feel, a little oily, a little tingle in the back of the throat (no DT jokes, please). Middlingly malty with a little herbiness. Not at all unpleasant, and probably would pair well with food, but nothing particularly interesting here.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 yayforbeer (733) - Orange Park, Florida, USA - APR 1, 2006
Pint bottle. I think this is the right one. The label says "Pure Quality" instead of "Export" and It has "Imported Dortmunder" inscribed in the gold frame around the crest. So its a mild beer with a yeasty malty aroma. Very pale golden yellow, and a small white head. Bready malt flavor with a little hop bitternes at the end. Fairly clean and a little watery. I can imagine this was intended for serving with dinner, as it seems well designed for washing down hearty German fare. It was a good choice for washing down hearty American fare, as I had one with a meal of roast Cornish Hen. As a stand alone session beer its a little bland and lightweight. No off flavors, great as a meal accompaniment, but not enough character for a session beer. Picked up a six pack of pint bottles on sale for $5.99 at ABC in Jacksonville FL.
