2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Palme (1200) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2011
0.5l can. This is a clear pale golden beer with a medium sized white sidesticking head. Aroma is light grainy and malty with perhaps a tiny hint of caramel. Light oily mouthfeeling, average carbonation and medium to light-bodied. Tastes alright. There’s some pale malts, thin and almost watery notes of caramel, even a little bit of banana and sweet corn in this one! Ends light bitter with some hints of alcohol in the aftertaste. Good enough.

light fruit and light grassy malt to this golden yellow pour. gentle revealing flavor of hop that slowly reveals it’s bitterness. Golden brew would seem to be somewhat more flavorful though it is refreshing.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jonno (1312) - JAPAN - MAY 26, 2011
Just a straight forward easy drinking lager. A little grass on the nose, a honied malt light body, decent carbonation and a soft bitter finish. Still better than most beers that pass for lagers in Australia.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 jgb9348 (3369) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Crisp, golden coloured body with a perfectly clear look with a nice dense soapy white head and a zillion bubbles rising up the sides and centre of the glass. Aroma of pale malt, dry yeast, a touch of lemons and a bit of very light hops. Light-bodied; Slightly malty flavour with a little yeast, some minor hops and a strong but not overly powerful cardboard and funky flavour. Aftertaste shows some good character mainly of malt and light hops, but some light sweetness from caster sugar and a touch of lemons noticeable as well. Overall, not a horrible beer, not amazing, but a bit lower than average for the style. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased as ’Hansa Imported Dortmunder’ from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 08-May-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 20-May-2011.
