A slightly-above-average lager. But what makes it an EASTER brew?? Or is that a theological question?

Can pours an orangish golden, large frothy white head, spotty lacing, with little to no carbonation. Hay/Straw on the nose, fairly grainy. Similar taste... blech. Body and mouthfeel are medium. Finishes grainy, slightly nutty. Tiz okay, certainly nothing more than what I expected for an Easter Beer.

500 ml bottle. Nice clear, amber body with a big white head. Some malt and a hint of hop in the aroma. Flavor is caramel malt, crisp, slightly roasted and a little bitter. Very refreshing, this is my vision of how a regular macro lager SHOULD be. I thing I might enjoyed this beer more than the good fellows rating this before me. Maybe the reason could have something to do with the surrounding. First really sunny spring day in my garden and rewarding myself after a few hours outdoor work with this refreshing beer sitting in the sun afterwards. Cant help thinking of Easter coming up in one-weeks time.

50 cl can. A bit more caramel malt gives a sligtly darker clour, but otherwise this is a fairly standard Norwegian pilsener. Soem sweetness, some bitterness, unlikely to offend.

Can:Clear light red colour, nice head. Aroma of caramel, hay,gras eart, and malt, som citric in the end, mix with hops. Flavor is Smoth thin mouth feeling. lcaramel and dry thin caramely/hopy fnish.

13.04.2004, 0,5l Boks. Mørkt og fyldig øl med god smak og ettersmak. Lettdrikkeliog og friskt. Kanskje litt for ordinært.

They call this an aromatic pilsner.....Well, the aroma was fine indeed, but it promises too much. The beer is darker than a normal lager, and is more malty, but rather simple anyhow.

Dark pilsener. Caramell malt, hint of bítterness, but not as tasty as expected.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2007 Can. 2007 "easter seasonal". Mostly lasting, thin beige head. Brilliant copper colored body. Vague aromas of dryish malt, with scents of earthy hops. A little more maltier, and a little more hopbitter taste, than the average Norwegian macrolager. A little fatter body too. Drinkable, but boring and not very impressive.
And I really wonder why they want us to drink this beverage just around easter...
