2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 EithCubes (3050) - GERMANY - JUN 1, 2006
Bottle. Clear, full golden with a rocky white head. Smells vaguely malty. Thin, slightly crisp, weak malty sweetness, bitter finish and aftertaste but not hoppy enough. Slightly off-kilter and a little buttery. Probably would go well with food, but I’ll never know.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 16, 2006
Nice frothy head, standard gold colour. Grassy aroma. Nice clean malt profile, a little dry and thin though with a very clean finish. Decent basic pils.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 winkle (456) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 11, 2005
Bottled: Looks ok - clean gold with a medium head. Small bubbles with reasonable carbonation. Some grassy hop aroma with a thin malt presence and some bitterness in the finish. OK, if on special ($12 buck a six pack).
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MorganDavis (17) - Ballarat, AUSTRALIA - SEP 2, 2005
I was a bit alarmed by the sqeaky noises the bottles made against each other as I carried them. 6 500ml bottles for AU$15. Not too bad. I like this. Very moreish, and before I knew it, i had none left. I think I prefer this to Pilsner Urquell. Worth buying again.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Papsoe (21782) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Pale golden with a handsome, full head. A bit watery but still with a good, malty body and a hoppy finish. 040300
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 22, 2005
(bottle) Clear golden colour with a medium foamy white head. Grassy hoppy nose with a tinge of malts. Medium body, soft sweet flavour. Malty and a bit fruity taste with a dry and crispy, slightly hoppy finish. A clean and well-made cheap beer with a good price-pleasure ratio.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 pivnizub (7022) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2005
Attention, cheap bottle ! Clear golden, big rocky white head, long lasting; only very shy aroma, some traces of malts (and yeast?), nearly no hops; weak malty beginning, light bitter sweet flavour, weak bitter finish; refreshing (when You are thirsty), drinkable, but not really bad.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 HighlanderOne (747) - Bergen County, New Jersey, USA - MAY 30, 2005
It’s not bad, except, uh, somebody forgot the hops. Looks nice, smells OK and has a decent feel and finish, but without the hops, it can’t compare to the better pils out there
