Brygget i regnet.

Tap from the Scandic Hotel, Alesund. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is light malt light hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a crisp malt, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It’s no classic but as far as pilsners go it’s far from being the worst. It’s quite inoffensive and quite refreshing if nothing else. I’ve drunk hundreds if not thousands of these things during my time in Norway, so maybe I’m rating it from my heart and not my head!

Grains, grass and cooked vegetables and some hops in the aroma. Golden with a white head. Light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Light body with a lively carbonation. Overall not a bad pilsener, but quite boring.

New 33 cl longneck bottle from Coop Extra supermarket. I have forgotten to rate this beer. As a West-Norwegian this is my local everyday beer. Its off course an ordinary generic pilsener but I like it. I like the new green bottle. It feels good in my hand. Looking forward to the summer evenings with this as company...

0.5 L alu-can found at EuroSpar Langnes Tromsø Norway Straw goldenish coloured beer with nice tall head on, spots inside the mug. Scents of grass, hops, pale sweet malts far behind. Tastes grains, malts, grass, hops - as industrial pilsener. Grainy to palate and very carbonated, and bitterness almost hidden under it all. Ending bready malty, somewhat roasted too, that’s alright. Average pilsener with some disturbing notes, and lacks fruitiness.
