I’m actually a bit disappointed in this local macro brewed wheat beer. Great expectations, but lack of balance. Some character, but not as refreshing as I hoped for.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours hazy, although not as hazy as most hefeweizens, and with a small white head that is quite dense. The aroma is mostly clove and light malts. There’s also a stale aroma. Although it’s mentioned by several other raters, I can’t ’find’ the banana aroma. The taste is quite sweet and "fruity", almost tart, and fairly bitter for a hefe. The body is medium heavy, and quite fizzy.

500ml can from Eurospar Langnes. Very nice in my tall weizen glass with a decent, white foamy head resting on top of a yellow coloured body added by a wheat haze. Loose lacing down the glass. Sweet and dry aroma of herbal hops and ripe fruits. Wheat and sweet banana flavours, lightly spiced, and offset by a little yeasty fruitiness towards the ending. Smooth and refreshing, Rather thin and a tad too sweet though, still a promising brew (at home on a Friday eve, Tromsø 31.01.2014) .

Gulaktig, tåkete med høyt off-white skum som ligger lenge. Medium kullsyre. Lukter fruktig og syrlig, litt humle og blomster. (Kan minne noe om IPA i aromaen). Smaker litt bitter, hint av banan, sitrus og gjær - men det er godt! Tørr lang ettersmak.

0.5l can. Well this is kinda exciting cause it could go either way really. Starts of quite nice with a deep pale orange light cloudy body that has a good looking big and lasting fluffy head. Holding it against the sun I can see a good amount of stringy floating particles in the glass. It looks like a heffeweiz and it actually smells like one as well! Good eastery banana yeasty tones all the way, lots of wheat sweetness and a little orange hint as well. Now that the head has settled down I notice that it has some pretty good looking lacings this. First impression good, now let’s taste it. Quite sweet is the first I pression, while the second is that this is actually not that bad at all. Lots of sweet yeasty banana and wheat flavors, it somehow manages not to be thin or watery on the mouthfeel and it has a nice gentle carbonation level. There is not anything pointing itself out here really (well except for the somewhat exadurated sweetness) it’s just a really OK wheat beer from the macro brewery. A soft little sourness sneaks up all the way in the finish and aftertaste, but to be honest I think it’s actually suiting. Could this be the start of something exciting? I don’t know what this box costed me, but hopefully it was cheap enough so that other more price aware consumers can grab a bottle and try something other than the regulare pilsis. 14.09.2013

Uklar lys medium utseende. Frisk aroma av malt og gjær, smaken er også søt, god og frisk. Malt og gjær, samt noe fruktig. Tynn, men ganske god.
