3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Boksøl fra Vinmonopolet. Ser fin ut i glasset med småboblete skum og fin gylden farge, noe dypere enn jeg er vant med fra Hansa...
Smaker mye av malt og alkohol, men gir likevel en behagelig ettersmak.

Pretty bad, actually. The taste lacks bitterness, and the malty stuff tastes bad and foul. Ok refreshing and the aroma is present in the beginning - which also is ok.

500 ml can. B13. BB 09/04/14. (Vinmonopolet) Kirkenes, Norway.
Clear pale golden colour with a big foamy white head.
Malt, sweetness, bread and soap in the aroma. The flavour is... yukh! How is it possible that beer with 6.5% taste alcohol like this one. Malt, candle wax and alcohol. Bad bad bad!

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
0.5l can. The bestselling beer all time at Vinmonopolet you say huh? Guess it have to taste extremely good since so many people buy this again and again and it’s topping the sales board year after year. If the Norwegian people knows it’s beer, I guess this is going to be a little treat! Starting with the pour; it’s a clear golden one, some unfiltered lager-particles and a quite good looking white medium sized top. Starts off not to bad actually. The aroma is malty and a bit on the sweet side, but there is also a strong metallic and macro-like tone that puts this in company with beers I expect much less of. The carbonation level is average and the mouthfeel is light fizzing and soft oily. Not much elegance over the flavor to be honest. Boozy, malty and slightly metallic sums up the flavors I find in this "bestseller". It actually tastes a bit like New Years Eve used to do in the old days - after all the booze and drinks was finished and all that was left were those old strong Hansa Sterkøl boxes. No bitterness what so ever, and it’s just a boozy, sweet malt bomb. A perfect beer for the generic Norwegian. Apparently. 13.02.2013

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden colour with a big fine white head that leaves a fine lacing. Fruity and caramel malt in the aroma. Medium body. A bit sweet and a moderate bitterness. Oily texture. Caramel malt is dominating the picture, but also some fruity notes. Not as much alcohol in the flavour as expected.
