yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 7, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly unclear, golden body with a minimal off-white head. A bit weak aroma with some alcohol and grains, but mostly malty sweet. Nice sweetness in the mouth, with grains and malt, some fruityness, a little warming feeling from the alcohol, and a pleasant bitterness. Full-bodied. Sweet finish with a nice bitterness. Even though I prefer dunkler bocks, this one was quite nice. (080517) Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2007 Growler, thanks yespr. An amber beer with a thick tan head. The aroma is sweet malty and quite spicy, combined with light notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with metallic alcoholic notes, leading to a dry bitter end. A bit too simple. Theis (2212), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2007 Bottle (Growler) at ØLbaren thanks to Yespr. Clear dark amber - white head. Grains, straw, "amber malts", caramel, sweetness, corn, fruity, soft !! yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 4, 2007 Sample from growler. Pours unfiltered orange. Aroma is slight sweet with strong corn note. Flavour is sweet, soft mouthfeel and corn again. Finish is malty. MiP (6026), Flensburg, Germany May 9, 2006 Draught. Slightly cloudy copper colour. Very small head. Peppery, malty flavour. OK mouthfeel. It has a good fruitiness and sweetness to balance the alcohol, even though they are very subtle. Not too exciting, but goes down well.
