Bottle from hamiltons: pours a purple color, I think, with the only head a product of manipulative pouring....big bubbles and more from gravity than carbonation, I suspect. Nose is spot on..generous funk. Extreme sourness, berry notes, powdered sugar. Sublimeness. Completely flat unfortunately...but the berry, funk, cheese, and sourness combine nicely. I hate that most hanssens end up flat because they are so good otherwise...with prickly carbonation, this may have caused orgasm. As is, its a little needing in something...carbonation? Fuck.

Where the Wild Beers Are, 2011. Typical of Hanssens, this beer is very sour. It is red in color, with a big barnyard aroma complimented by the fruit flavor. Palate is just a little heavier than most other Hanssens fruit lambics. It is very good, but I it is unlikely I will have it again at this price of $25 for 37cl.

Cherry red with no head or lace. Arom is just cherry funk. Hard tart cherry dry and bitter/acidic. Medium body with no carbonation.

i haven’t had a lot of lambics and don’t really no where to start so i picked up this bottle at beer store to give it a go. pours a flat rusty red, like a dull cranberry juice. Nose is nice of tart berries. tastes of sour berry. with some lemon and earth and tobacco. there is flavor but i have tough time with lack of carbonation and its a little too watery for me.

I got this from Knightly a while back. No pop at all when opening so it’s not a big surprise that this pours nearly flat. Just a few bubbles surface and get pushed to the sides. Reddish color. The aroma is a bit funky with horse blanket, raspberry, blackberry, and a touch of old cheese. This is sweet but also quite sour with lots of berry fruit flavors. Tastes like a mixed wild berry puree; a cherry, raspberry, blackberry mash. But the lack of carbonation really detracts from the flavor. Sour, yeah, but it lacks crisp tartness. There are enough good things to prevent me from pouring it, and I could see how this might be good, but without carbonation I wasn’t a fan. Hanssens Oude Geuze is much better.

Deep red pour with no head. Low carbonation all around. Nose of tart cranberries and raspberries, with a touch of wood aromas too. Flavor is wonderfully sour, with the same flavors as the aroma.

Completely flat. Iced tea / pomegranate orange-brown body. Very sharp aggressive lambic aroma, also some fruit. Completely flat. Sharp sourness. I have to say, on the whole, uncarbonated lambic just really doesn’t do it for me. Second half of the bottle is tastier.

Bottle. [thanks bu11seye]
Pours deep, murky red with a small, bubbly film head - fairly white, a bit pink. Aroma has Ribena, tartness, light vinegar, softly lactic with some lemony sourness as well. Low carbonation, oily and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour has soft fruity tartness, mild black currants, lactic and citric notes. Fairly tart overall, fairly nice as well.

Corked half champagne bottle, bought @Hanssens Artisanaal, enjoyed at home. Clear deep red with a light orangey shade. Low greyish-blond head. Horsey and bretty aroma with tart berry notes. Taste is sour berries with hints of citrus zest, barnyard and vinegar. Quite palate-splintering. Light in body. Sparsely carbonated. Tart, acidic berry ending.
