Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano. Notes read, "Balsamic. Vinegar". Not the fullest rating, but I was going to pot by now. It must be good, mind. Dan Brown was swigging it from the bottle. Default 7 3 7 3 14 rating. Probably deserves a lot more. Sorry. Will try harder/less hard next time.

Bottle at Cotteridge Convention 2015. Necked from the bottle no less. Super fruity, sweet, tangy, spongey taste. Like a fruit corner, without the yoghurt.

Bottle. Lots of barnyard, horse blanket, and berry like aroma. Reddish, hazy pour, off white head. Funky, acidic, fruity, raspberry like, some mild currant note, fruit skins, tart finish.

Beerconnaiseur (164) - BELGIUM - JAN 23, 2015
Bottle 37,5 cl bottles in march 2014. Aroma is lambic, fruity, cassis, blackberry, some cheese and barnyard or horsesaddle. Sour taste fades to mildly sweet, leaving a tannine rich tart fruit sensation on the palate. Carbonation is low. Rich experience, pretty balanced aroma/taste equilibrium...even with its mild character. Lovely!

JBPortland (1028) - Portland, Maine, USA - JAN 5, 2015
2013 bottled vintage pours flat muddy purple red with no head. Nose is strong acidic and acetic notes, lots of wet moldy basement, some faint hints of berry, funky wet earth. Taste is incredibly sour, overly acidic, burns the throat, some faint hints of blackberry and vinous grape in the thick muddy palate that falls flat, syrupy and lifeless on the mouthfeel. Finish is sour acid with light subtle berry, grape and oak. Very hard to drink.

375ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby red with a very small, dark pink head. Aroma is very much barnyard, very earthy, quite a bit of berries. Some vinegar. Taste is quite sour. General berriness is present. A lot of appleskin and fermented apple, vinegar and earthy. Oak is present in the background. A lot of vinegar and appleskin, some earthiness, light black currant on the aftertaste. The only time black currant is actually present in the taste. Very low carbonation.

Bottled March 2013. Pours a brown/rusty cloudy with almost no foam. Lacing? Nah. The smell is 2 fold. Sour fruit and oak. Oak may be the bigger presence. The taste is also 2 fold. Sour fruit with vinegar sourness, and that oak that for me, makes this brew more drinkable. Light side of medium bodied, low carbonation. My first for anything labelled Cassis. I quite like it.

0.375L from Belgian e-shop Deep purple color, almost no carbonation but a small pink head lasts for a few seconds. Aroma is almost too barnyard, not much fruit and almost bad(sulfuric). It has strong leather tones and some sourness. But the funk is so extreme that itís just to the limit of very good or very bad, sadly mostly to bad, because of the sulfur. I expected more intense flavor, but itís quite balanced. Some fruits, some funk, some sourness but no one overwhelmed the taste. Decent taste. The Brett is making fun of you while you drink this beer, I guess it makes fun of the brewery too, because I donít think theyíll easily get rid of it. But if the aroma getís better itís a nice fruit lambic. I didnít have much experience with Hanssens, do they usually have this kind of fluctuation on product quality?

Bottle. Purple color. Aroma is mostly cassic. Taste is mildly sour and tardy, with some oaky cassis current. Notes of horseblanket and some sweetness. Decent beer, could be more sour.
