375 cl cork and caged bottle. Opens without a pop. Pours flat, deep red. Nose is earthy, red berries and currants. Taste has red berries, currants, earthy tartness and some strange lemony notes.

Bottle from bieresgourmet.be webshop. Pours an opaque deep purple body with no head, looking like a muddy black currant juice of sorts. Aroma is lemon, citric peel, horse blanket, fresh and present blackcurrant tones and hints of hay, mild burnt rubber and something reminiscent of wet moss. Taste is mild citric tones, black currants, lemon juice, orange zest, horse blanket and hints of burnt rubber and Chevre-style goat cheese in the back. Full body, no carbonation to speak of. I like it, but the freshness in the aroma doesn’t quite follow through. And as with the experimental raspberry version of this series, a bit of carbonation really wouldn’t hurt. Still a fair enough fruit-juice-style-lambic with some originality at play.

Bottle shared with Erwin Van Moll @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark red color, small pinkish head. Aroma is sour, sour fruits, horse blanket, burned plastic. Taste is quite well balanced, sourness but not too much, sour red fruits, quite dry. Decent body and carbonation. Don’t like the aroma that much but the flavor is pretty good. Not too extreme, certainly not harsh as you normally get with Hanssens.

Butelka 375ml. Piwo prawie nie ma piany. Pachnie przede wszystkim torfem i oborą. Potem dotrzeć można do owoców : jabłka, winogrona, malina, czarna porzeczka. Wodniste i prawie w ogóle gazowane.

At Grote Dorst. Thin head. The color is some kind of reddish brown, light port. You get that there is fruit in this brew, but hard to tell which one as the blackcurrant aroma has faded away. Tart and not very complex. Deceiving.

Bottle at home from belgiuminabox
opaque dark claret, no head, deep fruity tanins with a lightly sour rodenbach-like undertone. Full bodied, lightly tart, fruity blackcurrant and drying sourness in finish.

Bottle bought some place I can’t remember. Pours hazy deep purple with a thin pinkish offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sour, funky and fruity with crackers, black currants, lemon juice, moist hay, dry soil, grape skins, moist wood, leather, barnyard, horse blanket and hints of fart. Taste is sour, fruity and funky with crackers, lemon juice, black currants, unripe berries, hay, dry soil, grape juice, barnyard, leather and hints of blackberries. Mouthfeel is dry, tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is sour and fruity with crackers, black currants, lemon juice, hay, dry soil, barnyard, leather and hints of sour cherries. Not to complex yet very tasty…

(bottle - corked & caged 375 ml) Clear ruby pour with no carbonation. Huge sour and tart aroma. Not much fruit. Massive pucker factor sour flavor. Absolutely delicious.

Bottle from Hop City. Pours a deep red with almost no head. Aroma is very tart with a fruity hint. Taste isn’t as interesting as I hoped it would be. Intense tartness at first that quickly fades into a flat taste.
