Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Thursday 22nd January 2015 Pours a washed out pinky red l with little or no head, other than being a different colour, its not exactly gonna turn heads at the beer beauty pageant. Taste wise it was too cold at first (my fault) but 3/4 of the way through it warmed a little and improved hugely. Fresh raspberries on nose, tart, zappy sour raspberries in mouth, a little challenging but perservere and you will be rewarded. Jolly pleasant. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.8

Bottle in the Craft Beer Co Clapham. Clear red to pink, no head. Nose is fresh raspberry fruit, lactobacillus sour, tart berry, slight volcanic rock minerals, slight Brett funk. Mainly clean and fresh tartness and berry fruit. Taste is nice hit of clean crisp fresh raspberry, mixture of the tart berry fruit with lactobacillus sour. Finish gives a lovely lingering raspberry fruit hit, then into moderate sour and tartness. Clean, fruit forward lambic with eery fruit sweetness and tartness and then moderate sour yeast. Easy drinking lambic.

Bottled in March of 2013. Thanks, notches on the label! It’s hazy, golden orange, small head of foam that shrinks ever so quickly. Yet, the lacing is decent. Sour nose, to be sure. Mixed with the oak; I cannot say what the source of the sourness is from without reading the label. Raspberries, eh? Very sour taste, noticeable oak flavour, fruit wise, again, I could not for the life of me, identify it. Tastes good though. When it comes to Belgian sours, Hanssens is the only one to show up in Casper and I am thankful for that!!

Backlog rating. Colin Brings The Goods tasting at Kernel tap room, London. Procured from the Grote Dorst, Brussels. It pours a deep ruby purple color with a small pink head. Aroma is intensely fruity, quite sweet, light citric acidic notes and barnyard funk. Taste is again medium sweet and medium acidic with notes of raspberry jam, ripe peaches, tart lemon juice, bread dough and hay. Finishes citric and tart. Overall, I was expecting more from Hanssens.

38cl, exclusive brew, with raspberries, thx alot to Pieter for bringing this over!, complex sour fruit brew, heavily sour/fruity and slightly woody, yet not balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, nice brew, yet expensive!

Bottle. Golden, pink color, no head. Nice fruity aroma of raspberry. Tastes really really sour, but with a nice smooth touch of real raspberry, no artificial shit here. The tart is well balanced with the fruit. Evolving, lingering aftertaste. What an amazing beer.

Wow. Smells like so much raspberry. Pours a caramel color - I would’ve guessed it’s in the IPA family had I not poured it myself. Smells like a whole lot of sour raspberry and the taste matches that. Manageable sourness, though. Very good. I’d buy and drink this again.
