Countbeer (4325) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2014
Bottle: Served in a Cantillon glass: No head. Beautiful red colored beer. Aroma is a beautiful mix of wild yeast, wood, horseblanket, raspberries, noticable acodity, some other red fruit and a hint of cellar. Flavour is a good mix with an overpowering vinegar acidity and raspberries following right behind. Also some wild yeast, some wood and a hint of red fruit tart soap. Aftertaste is wood, raspberries and light tart. Low to no carbo, watery tart mouthfeel, medium to fuller bodied and a watery tart texture. Awesome stuff!

slight pink head disappears fast but not completely. scarlet pink colour. aroma is cherry and raspberry. taste is very sour, mouth-puckering, citric acid. but 1-dimensional and tiresome to drink, be sure to take a good dose of baking powder or anti-acids before drinking this. bottle 37,5cl / bd mar-2014

375ml bottle, cellar aged approximately one year. Some delicately sweet raspberry and woody oak in the aroma, along with some light yeast funk and tartness. Lightly hazy light amber-orange in color (sediment not poured) with a very slight head ringing the glass. Flavor profile is intensely tart and acidic throughout, some light raspberry fruitiness in the background and tannic oak, making for a bone dry palate and a puckering finish. Lacking almost entirely in carbonation, body is medium. Pretty interesting stuff but the intensely acidic effect is quite one-dimensional and seems to wear off quickly; there is no real depth of flavor here.

If you would like to smell & taste raspberries, cherries, oak notes, citric acid - go ahead this is your beer. The flavor reminds me of a candy, we call "Smoelentrekker". Smoelentrekker was citric acid all over the place. And this beer has it too. I love it, however, if you think about it, it is probably cheaper to buy a lemon & some raspberries and throw it in the juice mixer.

Poured from bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso, Dupont Circle. Pours a rich reddish gold with just a rim of head around the glass, no lacing. Aroma - wheat, lactic tartness very present, raspberry like fruit that’s been picked, but then left in the bowl (not sweet but obviously fruit). Taste - no hiding the lactic tart in this, raspberry, touch of funk, and long lasting, delicious tartness with that underlying funk that I just love. Soft on the palate, no carbonation to speak of, but that’s not a bad thing in my opinion. Delicious!

Bottle opened without much pop and poured an orange golden color with just a few white bubbles and a fairly still look. Aroma has tart raspberry, acidity, oak, and some seedy jam. Mouth feel is light and unfortunately it is almost completely flat. Flavor waters the mouth good, medium range acidity, tart raspberry, and oak. It is a bit sharp overall.

Pitiful pop from the cork means low carb ahead. Pours flat, zero head/lace.

Easy to smell the astringency. Super sour, zero depth, generic fruit sourness flavor. Solid, but lacks depth.
