Didnít know they stopped making this! Tried it many times back in the BW days when we carried it. Nice subtle lambic tones with really well hidden sweet honey mead flavors buried in between in a polite manor. Blends rather swell to be honest! Wish I wouldíve saved a few bottles!

375 ml bottle. 2006 vintage. 9% ABV.
Pours a golden colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of ripe apricot, syrup, hay and blackcurrant. Flavour of tart ripe apricot, some alcohol, white grapes, blackcurrant, syrup and rough grassy notes. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a mouth-drying, sharp, sweetish finish. Some similarities with white wines. Very unique and tasty.

Aroma has mead‐like honey, some moldy cellar, hints of root beer and grapefruit. Flavour is sour with grapefruit, green apples and earthy notes typical to gueuze. Also some honey and white wine. Dry and quite unique; smells like mead, tastes like gueuze.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by Andy at Zach & Mattís tasting. Donít know the vintage but it was obviously fairly old. Pours dirty yellow and completely flat (big suprise). Aroma is dirty fruit and old bottled faro sugar. Taste is a balance of tartness and honey. Slightly sweet and slightly tart. Mouthfeel is very light and not syrupy at all. Interesting.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Received from a generous BA. I have been intrigued by this for awhile, couldnt wait to finally open it. This has been sitting in my fridge for a little while now and Iíve been apprehensive about opening it because it has a ton of white floating stuff at the top of the beer in the bottle. Opened the bottle to a very small pop and the beer poured a still orange brown in color and had some white floating stuff on the surface despite a careful pour. Nose is probably the highlight of the beer to me. It has some sharp lemon, solvent, and soft sweetness to it. The mead is actually a nice complement to the sharpness of the gueuze. Flavor isnít all too impressive, itís reminscent of an unblended lambic with a sweet finish. The flavor is watery and the lemon is pretty muted. It is slightly oxidized as well. Light mouthfeel, gentle acidity, no carbonation, and a short, abrupt finish. I was thankful to experience this, but this isnít something I would revisit. Still, itís a cool and unique concept from Hanssens.
