2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
375ml c&c without a lot notched.
The cork came out of this one easily and free of audible carbonation. In fact, Iím surprised the beer doesnít leak out, as easily as the cork popped out and easily I was able replace it... The beer is golden with a twinge of pink. Free from any visible signs of carbonation and pretty much looks like still chicken broth to be honest. Not attractive.
Smells of lemons, grass, hints of manure and mung bean sprouts. Nothing particularly special, does smell sour, which makes me happy.
Quite sour indeed, a tightening of my masticating muscles indicate as much. Indeed there is a slight sweet strawberry I didnít anticipate. Some notes of lemon and metal. A little soil in there as well.
Not even what I would classify as an effervescence. This beer is flat, thin and has a wet finish. It is better as it warms, then it takes on a buttery feeling.
This was an interesting experience. The highest beer Iíve ever rated was a straight unblended lambic from the barrel; completely flat. Although I found that experience to be outstanding, this one is far from that. The beer is ugly, and feels awkward. I expected carbonation, where previously I had not, that totally flavored my experience. Although thrown off, I was not completely disappointed.

Dit is geen bier maar chemisch goedje wat smaakt naar overjarige aarbeien kauwgom. Echt het slechtse wat ik in mijn Belgische jaren geproefd heb.

It would have been a lot better if it had any carbonation. At first the funky taste is quite prominent but it gets more balanced as you finish the glass. Nice lambic taste with a natural strawberry flavor that nevet gets too obvious. Very tart. Not great but definitely interesting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared with my parents. Pours cloudy dark golden. Not the slightest of heads. Aroma is fruity, mango, strawberry, slightly funky and slightly acidic. Some wild yeast in the aroma. Taste is quite fresh and fruity. Taste is light sour and moderate sweet. Decent but not a huge lambic taste. Medium body with no carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice lambic. The hints of strawberry could be a bit louder, but overall itís quite enjoyable, yet tends to be a bit pricey.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
375ml bottle pours completely flat semi-clear pinkish yellow. Nose is very acidic, funky, acetone, hints of fruit. Taste is sour acidic berry and traces of barrel. Finish is sour, nice strawberry notes which linger in the finish and is the best part of this beer. Overall pretty dissapointing. OK.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 ml bottle shared at In de Wildeman. Pours a hazy pinkish golden headless body. Ripe brie, strawberry marmelade, subsiding notes of sulphury eggs, eraser and rubber are present in the complex aroma. Medium bodied and flat with a light astringent mouth. Heavy acidic, meaty, vermuth fruity and wild strawberries are among the flavors. Finishes on notes of cereal. An adventure.
