COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique, refreshing beer appetizer is the result of amalgamating fresh strawberries with lambic during summer.

Scopey (1192) - Croydon, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2011
Bottle from Nelson Wines. It pours cloudy orange, with a thin white film. The nose is farmyard, spice, peach, medicinal, subtle strawberry and chamomile. The taste is lemon, white currant, wild strawberry, tart peach, tangerine, wood and underlying alcohol warmth, with a smooth, clean finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and moderate to high sourness. Delicious.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2011 Well, this one is a typical Hanssens very sour lambic with a great aftertaste of strawberries, a little sweetness of the strawberries but overwhelmed by the soureness. Great lambic of Hanssens, but a little too sour for me.

Orange coloured and hazy. Has a frothy, white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma of strawberries and candy, a bit too sweet. Flavor starts light sweet and moderate acidic and finish heavy acidic. Dry texture and moderate astringent.

Uneventful bottle opening, no pop, nothing. Pours with no carbonation, oh well. Hazy orange. Aroma is pretty massively tart with some floral nature, lemons and vinegar. Taste is sour but not overly mouth puckering. Lots of sweat, horse-blanket, sour unripe berry. It’s not really coming off as easy to distinguish that this is strawberry versus some other berry. Pretty good. Man, I would love some carbonation to perhaps drive the aroma and flavor to a new level.

Bottle shared by Hoprider. Pours unclear vibrant orange with no head but a small rim of foam. The aroma is intensely funky, loads of funky horseblanket, barnyard, very lactic also. Leather, zesty lemon and grapefruit and a small hint of sweetness from the strawberries create a wonderful nose. The taste is starts off with strawberries, quickly taken over by an intense tartness. Lots of horseblanket, leather and zesty citrus and lemon. The level of tartness reminds me of an unblended Cantillon like Broucsella. It finishes with lemony tartness and an after taste of strawberries. Very nice.

Pours an orange color with no head or even any bubbles at all. Has a sour fruity smell to it. Wow this is sour. It’s sour just about the way through but the strawberry’s come through in the middle.

Hazy yellow colour, no head at all. Smells sour, cheese and melting plastic/burning car tire. Tastes sour, melting plastic.. What the.. Little to no carbo. Very weird and shocking beer. Never again.
