The strawberry gives it a beautiful light rosa color. The aroma also just has some berry notes along with the fresh and sour profile. The taste is complex and really farmy. This is a hardcore lambiek.. Takes a while to drink but thats just fine with me. One of the very best lambieks I’ve had.

The aroma leads off with heavy strawberry. The taste isn’t that fruity though - more acidic than anything else. During the aftertaste the strawberry pops up again. A strange, sour, wonderful, and refreshing beer.

2006 Vintage. 12.7 oz green bottle. Pours with a minuscule head that had big soapy bubble. The beer is a vibrant orange/peach/apricot color. There are white things floating on the surface. The smell is fantastic, with nice ripe strawberry, a pinch of sour, and a tiny tiny hint of funk, not much at all though. The taste is a lot more sour than the nose would suggest, it starts out with a burst of lemon sourness but then ends with delightful strawberry flavor. It isn’t sweet at all like I expected, it is an awful like a straight up lambic with a hint of strawberry in there. Very nice. I’m not a huge fan of the nearly still mouthfeel with only the slightest hint of carbonation, it is hard to control the carbonation these gueuze type lambics though. But I woudl like a bit more. It is a pretty good beer with a very nice smell. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-22-2010 22:29:10

such a weird beer! The product of fresh strawberry’s and lambik. I tasted it with a group of people between 1 bitter beer (XX bitter/ De ranke) and 1 sweet (chapeau fraises/ De troch). So if you saw oudbeitje and the sweet chapeau fraises (both from strawberry’s) then i like oudbeitje a lot more. Sweet beers are sweetend by sugar/syrups (not by natural way of the fruits)

Courtesy of Mike. Bottle pours like peach juice with an extremely thin head that disappeared quickly. Aroma is amazing with strawberry, oak, and funk. I cannot explain how amazing the nose is on this thing. Flavor shows the same funky strawberry, as well as some underlying stone fruit, and a certain floral aspect. Extremely well balanced and interesting, I wish I had more!

Pours cloudy yellow with no head. The aroma is super ridicoulois funky with spice, oak, and strawberry. The flavor is quite similar to the aroma. Super funkified with oak, spice and strawberry. Simple, yet really enjoyable.

Hazy amber with a Slightly pink hue and no head at all. Very funky sour aroma with the strawberry in the back ground. Very sour funky and fruity this is one hell of a lambic.
