4.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bright yellow color, nearly no foam. Smells like used baby-daiper, very unpleasant at first, but if, against better knowledge, you are still willing to take a deep breath, you will find very well hidden flavours of ripe strawberries, beneath a tart, fruity load of brett defined sourness. It is even possible to detect a sweet hint in the overall sourness, resulting from the strawberries.
Taste is incredible sour, dries out the tongue immediately, but still leaves some space for a decent strawberry flavour. Begins as sour as it gets, then stawberries come up, adding a lot of fruitiness, which then transforms into a tongue stinging fruity bitterness. It is hard not to cringe at that particular point, still, the beer is unexpected nice, due to its enjoyable, refreshing complexity.. Fantastic, dry tartness paired with sunny, stingy fresh strawberries, leading to a chewy mouthfeel, with an enormous sour aftertaste, which leaves the palate slightly dazed, but very satisfied.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home 20140614. Pours hazy yellow. Completely flat. Aroma of funk, yoghurt, wild strawberries, earthy tones. Taste is not as good as you would think judging from the aroma. Tastes wild strawberries, funk, quite astringent and lots of acetic acid. Not a favorite.

Bottle from 2007 I guess. Pours a golden slightly unclear beer with no head at all. Smells sour, candy. Tastes very sour. Tarted. Green apple. Too sour for me. Dont think I will finish this one. Low carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Aromas were sweeter than I imagined with strawberry jam, must, and some earthy Brett notes. Appearance is cloudy, light copper with no head. There are a few bubbles though. When I took my first sip of this beer I was pleasantly surprised by the tartness given the aroma lead me to believe it might be sweeter. Up front there was a blast of lemony tartness, followed by some juicy strawberry, rhubarb, and some funkiness. Good acidity with a nice dry finish. Overall another very good sour from Hanssens.
