Very flat; clear blonde body. Fruity aroma; musty and a little dirty. Very soft and mellow texture. Long and delicate strawberry aftertaste after the initial tang fades. Just a trace of carbonation. Like an unblended fruit lambic.

Thanks to David! Pours semi clear orange with no head. Aroma is strawberry, funk, peaches and vanilla. Taste is sweet strawberry, vanilla sweet, oak notes, medium-high acidity - not overpowering or lip-puckering.

Slightly hazy dark yellow pour. Cool nose on this, funky strawberry. Nice taste as well, nicely tart and funky. No carbonation though - no pop from the cork removal at all. Too bad, this had some nice character to it.

Aroma of strawberries, a bit synthetic. Semi-clear golden appearance, not much foam. Taste of strawberries - compared with other sour beers the sourness is high and great, but the taste of strawberries is odd and ubalanced. A flat beer, though a high body.

Fast klare goldene Farbe, wenig weißer Schaum. Geruch nach frischen Erdbeeren, dezent fruchtig, mehr säuerlich. Geschmack sehr sauer, frische Erdbeeren, trocken, leicht kratzig.

Bottle. Aroma of tart fruit. Body is cloudy orange with zero head. Flavor is berry, tart, acidic and sour. There is an unbalanced texture that makes this a little harsh at times.

12.7 ounce caged and corked bottle, bottled in May 2013. Served in a Prairie lambic glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy golden/orange color with a small white head that fizzled away quickly. Pretty much no lacing, either. Aroma is nice and tart, the brew smells like funk, strawberries, vinegar, oak and earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes like funk, sweet and unripe strawberries, vinegar, earthiness, green apples, lemon and cheese. The tartness lingers around for a while in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s smooth and easy to drink. The Hanssens brews I’ve tried in the past have been hit or miss, but I thought this was good and I enjoyed the tartness. I’d like to try this again in the future.
