2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Lot D. Pink-red body, almost zero head. Aroma provides a nice gust of strawberries and funk, yet needs more intensity. Taste suffers the same fate: mild, subtle flavors left and right. And what *is* present isn't particularly special. Another disappointing fruit sour from Hanssens, further reinforcing that the gueuze is the only blend they make that's worth your money.

Bottle. Hazy golden with white head. Nice big funky aroma, dusty and sharp. Similar taste, standard lambic funk, on the sharp side. A tiny bit sweet and the strawberries are mild. Nice

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
375 ml bottle to stem glass. Looks decent; no carbonation though. A lightly hazy golden orange. Smells solid; funky with notes of strawberries and a bit of sweetness. Tastes like it smells, but less balanced, and tarter than sweeter. A touch of vinegar. Flat. Overpriced and underwhelming.

375ml dark green bottle shared with Finn. Low filmy layer. Slightly cloudy golden-orange coloured body. Mid-tart berries and farmyard on the nose. Sweet and tart citrus as well as berries to the taste buds added by a basement touch. Prolonged finish, tart, sweet and dry. Clean in the mouth. Refreshing cleanser (Tromsø 18.12.2014).

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gold, no head; light body, light carbonation, watery. Aroma: rotting strawberry, other mixed berries, old and stinky, little bit of manure/farm, strawberry shortcake, tartness. Flavor is very tart, berry fruit, strawberry is a bit less apparent here. Despite being jarring, the sourness becomes palatable after a few sips and is rather clean tasting. Ends in a brief and restrained burst of bitterness to finish the taste. Interesting lambic. Aroma is very complex, if a bit off-putting. Flavor is more clean. Strawberry is not overwhelming, but definitely present.

@ The Ginger Man à Manhattan. Une bouteille. Liquide jaunâtre. Ce lambic à la fraise et très acide. C’est aussi marquant en bouche qu’au nez. Les fraises sont discrètes mais détectables. Une finale sèche sur l’acidité et les petites fraises macérées.
