4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Iíve tasted this beer during the "Toer de Geuze 2011" at the brewery.
Wow, thatís probebly the best appetizer Iíve ever tasted.
Despite thatís a strawberry beer, the colour is like a lambic, slighly darker. But the aroma of the strawberries are in your nose when youíre pouring it out. And the smell is about "real" strawberries. The taste is like a real lambic and the aftertast, the full aroma of the strawberries are there again. when finished the bottle, I got the taste that Iíve eaten a bowl of fresh strawberries.
Iím a lamic lover and a strawberry lover, gosh, lovly combination. Fanastic beer as an apero or hot summer night,

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home 20140614. Pours hazy yellow. Completely flat. Aroma of funk, yoghurt, wild strawberries, earthy tones. Taste is not as good as you would think judging from the aroma. Tastes wild strawberries, funk, quite astringent and lots of acetic acid. Not a favorite.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from 2007 I guess. Pours a golden slightly unclear beer with no head at all. Smells sour, candy. Tastes very sour. Tarted. Green apple. Too sour for me. Dont think I will finish this one. Low carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very nice framboise lambic from this small brewery, complex with true fruitiness, not syrup used, a lot of sourness.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Aromas were sweeter than I imagined with strawberry jam, must, and some earthy Brett notes. Appearance is cloudy, light copper with no head. There are a few bubbles though. When I took my first sip of this beer I was pleasantly surprised by the tartness given the aroma lead me to believe it might be sweeter. Up front there was a blast of lemony tartness, followed by some juicy strawberry, rhubarb, and some funkiness. Good acidity with a nice dry finish. Overall another very good sour from Hanssens.

3.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375 ml bottle, 4/2012 vintage. Thanks durwoodx! Pours a still hazy translucent orange/grapefruit juice color, no head or lacing. There are some bubbles clinging to the glass. Aroma is a tart combination of strawberry, lemon, grapefruit, and barnyard funk. Flavor is mouthpuckering and acidic. Bright citrus tartness, muted strawberry sweetness, and a lasting brett-like funky bitter yeast finish. Not to be served too cold, this beer improved overall as it warmed.
