3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle... Poured deep, dark copper orange with a thin head. Some citrus and yeast spice on the nose with a hint of funk and wood. Lemon-lime citrus notes with some sour acidity and yeast spices. Not overly funky, but still nice to drink. Light apple tones along with other light fruits before the mildly musky, drying yeast finish.

I still dont understand this style of beer. Gueuze, and sours alike just boldly confuse me. Add some fruit and it makes sense! But this style just not something I would search out. Now on to the review of this Gueuze. The pour is very wine like in character, no head, even when swirled. Immediate tartness followed by a mellowing lime/sour taste. Appearance is dark piss yellow and super low carbonation. LOT # H Overall, tasty but not versus the higher price.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark orangish bronze color, darker than usual for a gueuze, with a small but sustaining beige head. Aroma is somewhat mild, with a slightly perfumey citric tartness, wort, hay, and horse stable. Flavor is sharply sour, the kind of tingling sourness in the throat that feels like vinegar. Once youíre accustomed to that, there are citric notes, along with dusty cellar and a honeyed maltiness in the finish. Iíd like to see this dried out a bit on the back end.

Oh how I love the gueuze. This is yet another example of the greatness of this style. Intense, tannine, sour and a touch of farm.

Wauw, lime juice explotion with a bitter aftertast and even longer sweetness once the sour and bitter have disappeared.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Powerful aroma, vinious, green apple, horse blanket, lime. It does fade a little quickly. Taste is lime, grape, granny smith apples, lemon juice to finish with some dust.
Delicious, refreshing lambic.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma is slightly sour, some hints of corn I think, metallic, almost a glorified adjunct. Itís very off-putting. Appearance is straw yellow, large white head. Taste is very sour, but the taste is like hard cider, tart apple flavor. Mouthfeel is very carbonated. Overall...the smell through me off. Iím not a huge fan but it isnít horrible.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
20/07/2013 375ml bottle @ Mad for Beer. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Non male, ma ho assaggiato gueuze migliori.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A tart fruity flavor but a little more sour and standard beer finish than I was expecting. It was very good, but Iíll be the first to admit that Iím not sure I know the difference between average, good and great.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sour tart aroma. Damn sweet after. Cloudy golden color. Hefe like with champagne like head. Tart but very balanced start with a dry lemon after taste. Incredibly balanced.
