COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As with all Gueuzes, Hanssens is a mixture of several vintages to produce a lambic which is refreshingly fruity.

This is the result of blending different lambics of different ages. The second fermentation takes place inside the bottles and therefore they are stored for minimum six months in constant temperature kept cellars.

Oude Gueuze z Hanssens Artisanaal, co? wspania?ego, fantastyczne.Wygl?da?o pysznie. Piana nieznaczna, niewielka, zapach s?odki, czerwona porzeczka z podbiciem malinowym. Polecam

Acidic, sour, funky yeastiness, really tart and lovely. Golden colour, no head. Acidic, but not that tart for the style, mid-sweet and fruity, refined, but understated. Medium body, soft carbonation, tart finish. Enjoyable, but would’ve liked more acidity.

Bottle @ home. Pours a ahzy orange liquid with a fizzy short lived head. Aroma is nicely balanced with funk and brett, red apples, mango, lemon, hay, oak, vanilla. Moderately sour but smooth taste with great durability. Flavors of mango, grape, red apples, lemon zest, hay, brett and oak. Acidic and lemon sour finish at medium level. Lingering brett, vanilla and mango in aftertaste. Really nice balance overall.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy golden with a frothy white head. Funky aroma with sour citrus. Extremely tart and sour to begin with. Lemon juice flavours with musty notes. Extremely refreshing with a dry finish. Very good indeed.

38cl. bottle (375ml.) in Ghent, on the barge Kaffee De Planck. Only discovered this brew recently. A smooth lambic blend, for gueuze lovers. Less sour than expected.

Bottle consumed at home since all of my group has rated this. Pours a cloudy orange golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has nice funky Brett, barnyard character, oak, hay, citrus and some acetic character. The flavor has sour grapefruit and lemon citrus, quite a bit of sourness to this upon the first taste, acidic, dry with mild fruit sweetness. Interesting gueuze that combines nice tart fruit character and classic gueuze sourness.

2012 Pours yellow with a white head. Smells of sweat, funky, peachy, tarte, acidic. Taste is on the mellow side with some funky bites and a lemony finish.

Poured into a teku showing a deep caramel honey color with a good carbonation. Exploding with very strong aromas of brett with strong background aromas of barnyard manure and hay. The palate is full bodied with very light carbonation. Light to moderate tartness with the same flavors of brett and barnyard manure/hay. The finish shows a very large, sudden, but short burst of fresh apricot fruit. Strange but still fun drink.

Bottle at Brugs Bierfestival. Not too cheesy, not too much acid, nice sour, very good Gueuze, one of the better regulars.
