4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: The usual cloudy, sparkling, yellow-gold liquid with a bit of white foam on top that dissipates somewhat quickly.
S: You can tell this one is going to be great just from the nose. Tart lemon and lactic acid, along with a nice musty and earthy quality.
T: This one starts off with a tongue buckling sourness to it. Wonderful lemon and green apple flavors, in terms of the fruit. There is a slight bit of oak and a dry funkiness.
M: Very effervescent and medium in body with that wonderful dryness.
D: There’s only so much of this stuff you can drink before it burns a hole in your stomach, but even then, I’d probably keep drinking it. One of the better Gueuzes I’ve had, and at the price, you can’t beat it.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Earthy aroma with oak, ctrus and apple. Sour and vinous with apple flavors. Not as deep and complex as Girardin or Cantillon, but certainly a very good traditional geuze.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled @ ’t Brugs Beertje: Light amber coloured. Unclear. Off white dense head. Lasting. Earht, sourness and some acidic notes in the aroma. Flavour not as vivid as the aroma, but still quite delicious. Sourness, some light sweetness and some tarty and earthy flavours that pass into a fruity aftertaste. Quite good without beeing ostentatious.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
1987: Hazy orange gueuze with a thin white head. Wonderfull full aroma with orange zest, animal musk, soil in a cave, and the inevitable horseblanket. In mouth, divine acidity, intense and wonderful in mouth with notes of sour cherries and earth. Rich and complex marriage of lactic and acetic acids. Terribly good. (10-4-9-5-18). Thanks Joris!
2005: Opalescent clear orange amber gueuze with thick white head. Intense horseblanket aroma with grapefruit pulp, freshly pressed. Lighter bodied than 1987 version . more citric acid. Lot more citrusy, Very Refreshing (8-4-8-4-16). Bought at brewery April 2005.

Pale, not much head. Fresh yeasty sourish aroma with grapefruit. Grapefruit in the flavor as well, sourish and sour. Good body and a classy geuze even if I still have to learn alittle about this kind of beer...
