COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Purchased at State Line Liquors in Elkton, MD. It was pretty expensive if I remember correctly. Poured into a Chimay Chalice at 55 Degrees F right from the cellar. A - Solid pop of the cork with a nice bit of fog coming right out the top of the bottle. poured a light pink head of a quarter finger and left pretty fast. This looks more like sparkling grapefruit juice than a kriek beer. S - WHOA! My nose is dancing! The cherry and sour tones are exploding! This beer smells absolutely perfect. It’s everything I’d expect in a Kriek and I can smell it a foot away it’s so strong. M - This is unlike any kriek I’ve ever encountered. Sour, tangy, bitter...like eating a super sour candy! The cherry is not intense..there’s more citrus than cherry. I’m getting grapefruit and tangerines. It’s like a very sour fruit cocktail. There’s a bite to it even on the back of my throat. T - Little carbonation when swishing it around, very light but it lingers like cough syrup for a very long time O - This beer was simply wonderful. I’d buy a case of it in a heartbeat and I rarely say that.

Bottle at Manchester Winter Ales Festival. Scarlett red. POW! Cherries! Theres a little malt trying to creep through, but I’m not feeling it. It’s cherries all the way. Incredibly sour and not to my taste.

Bottle from Alex’s cellar, the label perished years ago, it’s old. Sat in the rain at an awesome bbq in Rome. Thanks Alex! Cherry aroma, some spice. Flavour has more cherry of course, some acidic vinegar type notes. I know very little about lambics but there is a time and a place where nothing quite hits the spot like a good one. Tasty stuff.

Tasted on 1/15/12 from a corked and caged 375mL bottle purchased at Sergio’s. Pours a deep pomegranate juice red with no head, but a thin layer of bubbly lace that leaves a thin collar. The nose is sour cherry and lemon with some light hay malt and barnyard funk. The flavor is intensely sour lemon acidity and tart cherry, with the same hay malt and a bit more barnyard than on the nose, and just a hint of vanilla oak poking through. The body is medium and tannic, with no carbonation at all, and a long, very sour and acidic lemon and cherry finish.

Fin rödfärg D: Mycket fat och inte mycket bär S: ekstremt syrlig och tydlig körsbärssmak E: Lång och syrlig eftersmak - aning obalanserad men det gör ej så mycket. Surt e gott!

37,5cl bottle, BB 08/2027. Dark red, cloudy. Off white head that goes away really quickly. Cherries, vanilla aroma. Lovely sour, bit pepper and sweet fruity hints. Aftertaste goes from sour to dry.

Bottle in Rome during The Stag Do. Rich red pour with a fine white head. Great character overall, plenty of tart cherries. Light to medium bodied with crisp carbonation. Lasting sour finish. Wonderful beer.

Highly lactic with rich cherry and brett nose and just the tiniest of cherry notes in the flavour. Demp burgundy in colour. Lovely.
