Commercial Description:
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Ruby red color and cloudy with a good sized white head. Aroma is sour and fruity. Taste is of tart cherries fresh off the tree that mellows to a soft sweet cherry taste. Dry and delicious.

375mL Bottle. Noses rather strongly, with a very goaty and cheesy lambic punch. A bit of bacteria, some alcohol and lots of acidity. Strong. Pours a burnished brick red, with edges in deep orange and thin white rose rim. Flavor is thick and sour. Wow. My palate has calmed down, because this is tart. The cherry flavor isn’t as expressive as I’d like, but it’s still nice. Aged tasting. A bit of red currant, oak barrel and wild mustiness. Fragrant. Puckering. I think the cherries have really added another level of sourness, that goes above an beyond the immediately noticeable lambic tartness. Dusty a touch. Cobwebs sweep out the lemon juice finish. Enjoyable, but restrained in the fruit palate.

Fresh 37,5cl bottle. Hazy red currant color, disappearing white head. Nice complex nose, strong wheaty barnyard, cherry fruitiness, little ammonium. Flavor starts with fermented red-currant juice, followed with tingling sour cherries. Very balanced, complex but drinkable Kriek.

Bottle: Pours a muddy, reddish brown with a small short-lived head. Aroma is rich with fruity and tart notes. Lots of cherries. The taste was a mouth puckerin’ rush of fruity sweet and tart. Tons of cherries, sours, tart, and some undescribable sweet/tart/sour complexities. A wonderful predecessor to dinner and damn it if I won’t have to get another one soon!

Bottle, thanks to dchmela. My pour was not as red as the picture... more of an orange red, and a little hazy. Minimal head upon pour. Very gueuzy acetic nose with sour lemony citrus, some funk and dust, and some surprisingly mild cherries on the nose. Great musty sour flavor. Really nice.

Red with bubbly white head. Aroma is tart and full of leather, in addition to cherry and slightly-vinegar dust and hay, some serious funky urine hiding in there. Flavor is a near perfect balance between sweet, tart cherries and slightly sour vinegar, hay; it’s a little on the sweet end, but the sour cherries are long-lasting. Dry yet refreshing. This isn’t more complex than other lambics, but for me, it’s as satisfying as any that I’ve tasted.

Ottima kriek molto acida che sviluppa un sapore di sarde sott’olio. Bottiglia da 37.5 comprata a Milano.
