Sep 17, 2008 Fresh 37,5cl bottle. Hazy red currant color, disappearing white head. Nice complex nose, strong wheaty barnyard, cherry fruitiness, little ammonium. Flavor starts with fermented red-currant juice, followed with tingling sour cherries. Very balanced, complex but drinkable Kriek.

Sep 5, 2008 Bottle: Pours a muddy, reddish brown with a small short-lived head. Aroma is rich with fruity and tart notes. Lots of cherries. The taste was a mouth puckerin’ rush of fruity sweet and tart. Tons of cherries, sours, tart, and some undescribable sweet/tart/sour complexities. A wonderful predecessor to dinner and damn it if I won’t have to get another one soon!

Aug 29, 2008 Bottle, thanks to dchmela. My pour was not as red as the picture... more of an orange red, and a little hazy. Minimal head upon pour. Very gueuzy acetic nose with sour lemony citrus, some funk and dust, and some surprisingly mild cherries on the nose. Great musty sour flavor. Really nice.

Aug 19, 2008 Red with bubbly white head. Aroma is tart and full of leather, in addition to cherry and slightly-vinegar dust and hay, some serious funky urine hiding in there. Flavor is a near perfect balance between sweet, tart cherries and slightly sour vinegar, hay; it’s a little on the sweet end, but the sour cherries are long-lasting. Dry yet refreshing. This isn’t more complex than other lambics, but for me, it’s as satisfying as any that I’ve tasted.

Jul 28, 2008 Corked bottle. Musty, dank basement sour cherry malt aroma. Cloudy ruby red color with minimal head. Musty dry, tart sour cherry flavor. Very nice traditional fruit lambic.

Jul 21, 2008 Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to emacgee for sharing! Extremely rich lambic, with just faint tastes of the kriek in there. It’s well served by the deep dry flavors of black cherries, as something brighter would just spoil the complexities of this lovely dry funk, with its lengthy finish. Delicious.
