Extremely rich lambic, with just faint tastes of the kriek in there. It’s well served by the deep dry flavors of black cherries, as something brighter would just spoil the complexities of this lovely dry funk, with its lengthy finish. Delicious. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Ruby-red with a tightly packed head. Full-feeling body, some from carbonation no doubt. Surprisingly zingy tart-sourness, with elements of catty bile and vinegar. I actually like those things, when done right. Had a quenchy zip to it, too. Sharp and cutting, yet tasty. travita (1892), Frisco, Texas, USA

Still strong cherry and a mild sweetness, despite a dry finish. Tingly, acidic and lush cherry. Excellent.

Bottle. Deep ruby with a wispy, bubbly head that fades to edge fast. Held up and examined, bubbles trickling from the bottom and sides of the glass, zooming up. The aroma on this is killer. Funk, cheese funk, biting acidity, cherries up and down. The flavor was fantastic too, cherries, sharp and sour, the only problem here was the strong acetic touch which became more pronounced as this warmed. Super dry, puckeringly sour and tart, and tasty.
