DruncanVeasey (2690), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Jan 6, 2008 De Zolder, Brugge, New Year’s Eve. Served with another sourness warning. Bring it on. Head collapsing into a still pinkish blush. A tickle of carbonation. Huge wood and sourness on the nose. Sherbety tang biting with lemon juice tartness. Very much a traditional, lambic-heavy Kriek. With something that looks like a pip swilling in it. Wicked. And just the tonic that’s required to reawaken the taste buds in the middle of a 7 hour Belgian session. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Jan 3, 2008 Updated: Jan 4, 2008Pours orange amber with a fully receding off-white head. Aroma of sour cherry, barnyard, and some serious brett. Taste is brett, barnyard, sour, acidic with cherries and oak. Mouthfeel is quite sour and acid, light bodied with low carbonation. FlagstoneHill (211), Erie, Colorado, USA Jan 1, 2008 bottle, 375ml, 31 Dec 07

Nice cherry presence. This lambic is pretty powerfully sour - a sipper! BelgiskOlklub (397), Viby J, Denmark Dec 30, 2007 Bottle 37,5 cl. Deep red color, small white head that’s almost totally disappearing. Medium body and lively carbonation. Dry aroma of cherries and oak. A very well balanced beer. Initial sweetness then a long sour finish. Very good. KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 26, 2007 Updated: Jun 9, 2008Pours hazy red with small pink head. Intense sour aroma with natural cherries, barnyard and grapefruit. Flavor has the usual brett notes, natural cherries and it is extremely sour. Perhaps the most sour kriek of them all? Very refreshing! downender (2537), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Dec 25, 2007 375ml bottle. Hazy red-amber colour with a decent off-white head. Big aromas of cherry, barnyard, yeast with a sour, savoury edge. Flavour of cherry with a musty sour finish. Very good.
