Commercial Description:
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Bottle @ Spuyten Duyvil, split with puzzl. Pours red with little to no head. Huge funky aroma; smells wonderfully sour. It’s no joke when you take this baby to your lips. Big-time sour cherry kick. Not much happening on the palate, just your standard acidity. Has a bit of a sweeter finish. Great way to end the night.

De Zolder, Brugge, New Year’s Eve. Served with another sourness warning. Bring it on. Head collapsing into a still pinkish blush. A tickle of carbonation. Huge wood and sourness on the nose. Sherbety tang biting with lemon juice tartness. Very much a traditional, lambic-heavy Kriek. With something that looks like a pip swilling in it. Wicked. And just the tonic that’s required to reawaken the taste buds in the middle of a 7 hour Belgian session.

Pours orange amber with a fully receding off-white head. Aroma of sour cherry, barnyard, and some serious brett. Taste is brett, barnyard, sour, acidic with cherries and oak. Mouthfeel is quite sour and acid, light bodied with low carbonation.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Deep red color, small white head that’s almost totally disappearing. Medium body and lively carbonation. Dry aroma of cherries and oak. A very well balanced beer. Initial sweetness then a long sour finish. Very good.

Pours hazy red with small pink head. Intense sour aroma with natural cherries, barnyard and grapefruit. Flavor has the usual brett notes, natural cherries and it is extremely sour. Perhaps the most sour kriek of them all? Very refreshing!

375ml bottle. Hazy red-amber colour with a decent off-white head. Big aromas of cherry, barnyard, yeast with a sour, savoury edge. Flavour of cherry with a musty sour finish. Very good.
