Jul 19, 2007 fun, funny, near hilarious was tasting this with a group as we were seeing of fellow beer lover prior to his return to Dark Horse to brew once again. My son, after taking a sip said "why?!?!" and gf of another pointed to her jaw and said "it hurts right here when I taste this". I just love sour beers when made well, and include this one. Acidic, pretty darn dry, cherries getting buried under that (to my taste). Not sure what I would think were I to drink whole 750, but had a large share as others handed glasses back to me. Jul 16, 2007 Clear tawny-orange body and very minimal head. Musty aroma, leather, and fruity. Very dry tart flavor with the hint of red berry fruitiness cutting in half the acidity. Delicious, although this is really destroying my stomach lining...

Jul 8, 2007 Bottle. Beautiful ruby amber colour, no head. Fruity and cidery with clear woddy notes, and some spices. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation. Very refreshing with a light sweetness that mixes well with a firm acidity.

Jul 5, 2007 The color was medium brown with red hues. It was nicely carbonated. The head was thin, white, and fizzy. The aroma was yeast, cherry, and sour/tart. The flavor was very sour, cherry, tart, earthy, and aged fruit. The palate was thin bodied. The finish was tart and earthy.

Jun 5, 2007 Bottle @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Unclear light yellow red color with a small fair lacing off-white head. Aroma is vntage, sour / sweet cherry’s. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

May 28, 2007 Pours a reddish brown with a thin almost non-existent head. The aroma was sour, tart, definitely cherry. Bretty smell. The flavor is also tart cherry, sour oakey taste. Delicious. The palate was fairly carbonated, but not as much as something like Lindeman’s. Had it at a tasting with a group of people who hadn’t been exposed to good beer. The verdict was thumbs up.
