Hazy reddish orangish amber body with a small to moderate head and blah lacing. Cherryish barnyard aroma. Some sweetness to go with the acidity. Good, but could be better... more complexity. It was getting old after having 1.5L of the stuff. But at that price, this is a steal. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

I was going to save this for a while, but after reading an article posted here regarding drinking this particular lambic with a steak, I had to try it. Pours out a red color without much of a head. Smell is mostly cherries with hints of oak. Taste is very similar, thick with cherries and rich with oak. Very good Kriek actually. And the article was right, it went with the steak very nicely, the salty steak balanced out the tart sour flavor of the lambic. Nice pairing, that I would have never considered had I not read this. sneagrams3 (1747), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

After some time, it is now good. Ruby garnet with little bubbles. Yeasty, grainy, tart, fruity. Apples and citrus, Of course, tart cherries. Tart and sour. Cloying yet easy. marvinpontiac (117), Huntington Beach, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 3, 2006 Very sour, slightly funky and just a hint of cherries. As it warms up, it becomes a little more drinkable but still very acidic on the palate. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2006 From a 750ml corked bottle.
Pours a deep reddish coppery brown with a thin ivory head. Head goes away quick and the beer is very still. Smell is strong brett. Aggressive funkiness. Some tart cherry in there but quite frankly it’s hard to find. Just big sour barnyard funk.
Taste assaults the tongue with a tangy fruitiness. Very sour. Some light funkiness. Some fruity apples in the tongue. Shockwave after shockwave of sour. Medium bodied with a tart and funky aftertaste. Not that drinkable but a quite interesting beer to say the least and it grows on you nicely.
I’ve had this bottle in the cellar for almost three years and I’ve had it fresh. I don’t remember it being this agressive. For fans of sour lambics, I can say this seems to turn into a beast in the bottle if you lay it down for a couple years. ryan (1775), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Not sure how old this bottled was, but I’m guessing it was aged for some time. The cork came out with almost no pop. The pour brought out only a few tiny bubbles. The aroma was horseblanket, slightly cheesey, with lots of lactic acid. The flavor was very dry, dull lactic acid that became very bright at the end, with some dull muted sour cherries. The mouthfeel was light with nearly still carbonation. I will try to find another bottle and rerate. microakes (94), Canada
