Commercial Description:
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Bottle at O’Brien’s, San Diego, shared with a bunch of RateBeer locals - courtesy of DaSilky1, I think. This was the first of many amazing bottles that started appearing at our table. Pours a very hazy, ruddy ruby colour with minimal head. Big sour cherry aroma with lots of funkiness. Flavour starts very sour, and almost cheesy, develops some sweetness in the middle, and finishes nice and dry. What a great choice to open the bottle portion of the evening.

Pours cloudy and with a nice golden red color. A thin head stays on top along with a yeast filled aroma. First taste is very sour like a lemon. Taste is sweet and sour with a nice cherry taste that seems to combine with the yeast to get a cherry, peach, lemon combination taste. Sip and enjoy, but avoid if sour is not your thing.

Intense stale musty sour aroma, some light sour cherry as well. Super sourness to the point of mouth-puckering. Not my idea of fun. Carbonation helped but not much.

Pours dark read with a thin pink-ish head. Sour, fruity cherry nose with a little hint of sulfur. Fresh, sour cherry flavour with some notes of vanilla. Somewhat leathery. Has a nice, dry green apple finish.

Pours a deer red/amber color with a small pale pink head. Aroma is fantastic including cherries, sugar and raspberries. Flavor is delicious with a strong cherry taste through-out and hints of raspberries and a slight bite. Not over-powering with the fruit flavors which makes it more enjoyable in my opinion!

Simiply a lovely beer. I tried this beer when my sweet tooth took over. Standard kiek, a nice fizzy dark red with a lovely nose of cherries. The beer was sweet , full and not particullary overdone. Not jaw dropping good , but close. I do love myself a Kriek

375 ml bottle, corked champagne style, at Plan B, Copenhagen. Red / "pinkish" / brown colour, moderate pale pink head. Sour cherry and funky barnyard aroma. Flavour is very sour cherries and red wine vinegar.

Bottle vintage 1999. Deep red coloured with a small light pink head. Powerfull nose of sour cherries, oak, horseblanket and sweet fruit. Lots of sourness and cherries in the flavor with notes of earth, wood, peaches and horsestabel. Finishes with a dry mouthfeel. Good one
