This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Pours deep red with a white lacing on top. Aroma has big sour ripe cherries along with some cherry sweets, sour berries, horse blanket and overall funky notes behind this. The taste is juicy and has lots of cherri, funk, sweet gums and sour berries. Very nice and sour Kriek!

Deep cherry red, light pink head, sour/bright/lively aroma. Big sour flavor, some bitterness, not too much cherry, fruit or sweetness.

37.5 cl bottle. Pours murky red with a small, pink, short lasting head. Aroma has wild cherries up front, dry leather, dark, ripe cherries, and it seems like the tartness comes from elsewhere than the cherries. Slight vinegar. Very funky as well. Taste has a really pleasant tartness up front, fades over to more funky, bitter, wooden dryness, cherries, both sweet and sour, vinegar, some sour candy. Fizzy body and carb. Really nice!

Bottle. Pours hazy red with thin white edges. Aromas of strong clean cherries up front, some earthy and stable-like notes, slight vinegar and tartness. Taste is tart but mature, sweet cherries, english jelly sweets, leather, dry woody notes and vinegar.

Not going to lie, I liked this one. Nice balance between cherry and sour flavors. In my book this is a good substitute for cantillon.

"nice cherry tinged brick red, but no head though not flat. aroma of both sweet and sour cherries and some barnyard funk. feel is tingly and acidic. flavor pops, lip smackingly tart and sour, but the cherry is not to be a background player. nice balance and close to a 10 flavor wise."

Sampled at pinball. Amber. Big malt and cherry in here. Some sourness. Tart cherries. Nice.
