This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

(bottle, rating #3333) pours a murky ruby colour with a frothy pink head. aroma of cherry stones, custard and barnyard, quite funky, with notes of lemon juice, earth and orange peel. flavour is quite sour, with big notes of lemon juice, some more barnyard, acetone, kiwi and only the lightest hint of cherries in the finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

Mums fillibaba.

Pours a deep red with a short off-white head. It has an aroma of dark cherries and some basement funk. The flavor is tart cherries and some funk with a great tart finish over a medium, low-carbonation body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy red with medium pink to purple head that drops quickly. Aroma of cherries, bretta, redcurrant, very fresh. Taste is very sour, fruity tart with a distinct lingering sourness. Almost too much even for me but manages to stay refreshing rather than overbearing. Body is light and crisp with average carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful deep red color. With a creamy cherry red head. Funky and lemon zest aroma. Really nice. A sharp sour upfront and goes all the way down. Very good flavors. Really love the sour consistency.

Bottle: deep, bloody ruby red, completely opaque with minimal lavender foam on top that quickly fades to a collar. Aroma is juicy cherry, tart & sweet with mild vinegar & some back-end, barnyard & sock-y funk. Taste is super sour, nearly puckering with a huge cherry flavor, notes of vinegar, lactic acid, & some sour lemon flesh. Very mild hay & funk presence. Dry finish. Love the sourness here, great amount of cherry & acidic tartness with nice vinegar-y overtones. Possibly better than Cantillon’s regular Kriek.

Bottle at home in the small hours of NYD 01/01/14, from Beermerchants.com. Murky cherry red with a quickly collapsing crimson head that settles as a swirl and edgework. Nose is singed cherry dipped straw, burnt sugar, dank musty wood, hay, barnyard, tarte cherry skins, musty cobwebs. Taste comprises dank cherry pulp maturated wood, noticeable but balanced levels of acidity, cherry balsams, funk, cobwebs, musty, tartened cherry. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, very dry and tarte finish - big puckerings! Great stuff, solid fruit lambic, wonderful balance of sour fruit and acidity, dry and puckering conclusion - fuck yeah - this is good !
