This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

At a private tasting in Serbia with markoijelena and luttonm. "Pour it" deep rose colour, cloudy with a gassy minimal white head. Nose: vinegars, cherries. Mouth: acetic notes, gassy and astringent background, dry palate. Great one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Somewhat cloudy pinkish/reddish pour with a faint white head. Mildly sour cherry aromas. Some funk and sour cherries. Not overly complex or tart. Average body and mouthfeel.

Dark red, ruby beer with a fast fading pink head. Nice sour aroma of cherries. Flavour starts of mildy sour, fades into a sweet undertone of cherries and ends in a long sour aftertaste. (Corked bottle 75cl)

Bottle @ Home. Pours reddsih brown with a fast fading pink head. Aroma of sourness, dark red cherries, little almond, vanilla, wood, light notes of vinegar. Flavor is nicely sour, wood, dusty, barnyard, cherry, but not as pronuced as in aroma, vinegar. Medium body, soft carbonation, dry very acidic finish. 081114

Bottle shared by Joe. Pours cloudy red, with no head. The aroma is black cherries, caramel, oak, cloves, and lemons. Very tart and acidic, with a nice fruity sweetness. Medium to heavy body, creamy, and crisp. Overall, this is a very nice, incredibly tart, but well balanced beer. Not as approachable (i.e. fruit jelly) as Lindemans, but much more complex. Thanks, Joe!

Pours deep red with a white lacing on top. Aroma has big sour ripe cherries along with some cherry sweets, sour berries, horse blanket and overall funky notes behind this. The taste is juicy and has lots of cherri, funk, sweet gums and sour berries. Very nice and sour Kriek!

Deep cherry red, light pink head, sour/bright/lively aroma. Big sour flavor, some bitterness, not too much cherry, fruit or sweetness.

37.5 cl bottle. Pours murky red with a small, pink, short lasting head. Aroma has wild cherries up front, dry leather, dark, ripe cherries, and it seems like the tartness comes from elsewhere than the cherries. Slight vinegar. Very funky as well. Taste has a really pleasant tartness up front, fades over to more funky, bitter, wooden dryness, cherries, both sweet and sour, vinegar, some sour candy. Fizzy body and carb. Really nice!
